)First let me a say a few things before I go any further, my parents divorced when I was 2, my Mom had to raise three of us on her own with no help and half of the time we housed and fed family members also, all in 2 two bedroom apartment on one income (she didn't have any college, she was a stay at home Mom before the divorce). I say all that to say, please be kind, you never know why someone is the way they are, or why they do the things they do :-)!
)Okay, here goes.... I label and date everything in my cabinets, I'm an organized over achiever. Did I mention be kind ;)
)I'm the baby of the family, my sister is 10 years older and my brother is 8 years older (see picture below on previous post).
)I grew up with my first child, I was but a child when I had her and I had a lot of growing up to do.
)I had an interesting childhood, I spent a lot of time with my Moms boss's family (they are Jewish) and with my babysitters family (they are Catholic, with 8 kids). So I would go to the Atlanta Country Club, eat, swim, have personal maids and nurses with my Jewish friends or go camping (20 of us in a homemade camper converted from a bread truck), play Charades, babysit lots of kids with my Catholic friends. I called that balanced!
)I spent most of my growing up years at Macy's in Atlanta. My mom was an Optician in the Optical shop there. I spent every Saturday, Summer, or sick day there. I met Correta Scott King (Mom did her glasses), I knew the people who put up the clothing displays, the ones who filled the vending machines, the people who worked in travel, in the furniture department, electronics (I played lots of pacman and frogger), cosmetics, hair salon and the nurses in the clinic (it had 6 floors and a Mezzanine). I would walk around and talk to or help each of them or go ride the elevator to the top of the Peachtree Plaza and get a Shirley Temple to drink, or walk across the street to Woolworths (I knew the people who worked there too). If friends stayed the night-they did this with me, sometimes there were parades going on and we would walk way down the street....I wonder if their parents knew, I would NEVER let my kids do that! I guess it was a different time back then.
)I love Dog the Bounty Hunter and Posse....don't ask!
)I have the best church family ever!!!
