I can't believe 14 years ago, we were at our reception right now. Time has flown and it has been wonderful! Looking forward to the blessing of many more years together, LW.

I finally took the time to sign up for gold. yeah!
Hey, if you haven't gone to see Fireproof, you MUST go see it! It is an excellent date movie. Jeff and I had a date night Friday night (thanks to Cathy!). We went to a new restaurant called Bellos and then to the movie.
Last Wednesday, Nate went around to several people after Bible study to show them his Bible. Each time, he would say "Bible!". How cute! His vocabulary is really expanding!

Well, last post featured Nate's sweet self, so now I am posting pictures of my boy who is growing up entirely too fast! Ian will be six next month. He sure is enjoying his baseball games. He is looking forward to the arrival of Grandma Davidson, Jeff's mother. She will be here on Friday to stay for a week. We have plans to go to the Cumming Fair, decorate a haunted gingerbread castle, go to the park and to the pumpkin patch. Fun, fun, fun!

I can feel it in the morning and evening air... that coolness that says fall is coming soon! Fall is one of my favorite times of the year. This one will be busy. Ian is playing baseball for the first time. He LOVES it too! He has played two games so far and has done so well hitting the coach-pitched balls. These little fellas are hilarious when it comes to playing in-field and out-field. Jeff and I used to watch t-ball games before we had kids and thought they were so cute out there digging in the dirt with their gloves, sitting in the grass picking flowers, etc. Now that we have a child playing and drawing circles in the dirt and doing splits instead of watching for the ball, it is no longer that funny! Actually he has done better than I expected.
We had a wonderful weekend in Alabama for the Dove Shoot fundraiser for Sacred Selections. I haven't heard the final amount raised, but I know it is more than last year. We had a great day among the people there and met many new friends. We also enjoyed seeing David and Dana Carrozza again. Everyone just loved seeing Nathaniel. His grant from SS was the money raised last year at the Dove Shoot. So, everyone there was so happy to see the baby they helped to adopt. He delighted everyone with his babbling conversations and constant exploring! He especially loved the tire swing in the yard. I hope those that took pictures that day will send them to me soon. I didn't get too many, but here is one from that day of him trying on some glasses he found. Ian also enjoyed the day playing football and making mudpies with the kids. The boys were adorable in their camo outfits.
The Dove Shoot was at a farm with a lot of acreage in the country. It reminded me of my days growing up on 40 acres out in the country...what a playground for a child! He loved running everywhere without having to worry about cars and such.
We stayed with some good friends in Gardendale and went to worship with them on Sunday before coming home very tired, but happy! What a wonderful reminder the weekend was of how we are so blessed to have our two boys.

We are off to my parents for a few days. I think "Papa's and Ma's" is one of Ian's favorite places on earth! And today I found out Jeff's mom is coming from Albuquerque for a visit in early October. The last time she was here was for our wedding...going on 14 years ago! Ian doesn't remember visiting her when he was 8 months old, so he is excited too. She has never seen Nate. I will also be teaching the 2nd-4th grade class at church beginning in Oct. So, I am preparing for that.
In August, we are going to my brother's wedding in NC and then off to a Fundraiser for Sacred Selections (who awarded us a grant to help adopt Nate) in Alabama in September. They are excited that Nathaniel will be there for everyone to meet. Busy, busy, busy for the next couple of months! I look forward to seeing David and Dana Carrozza again!
Did I mention that Nate is finally walking? YEAH!! I love this age!
