Abby's way ahead of me 12-20-08 11:18pm PST
So Abby's potty training is in high gear right now, not from anything we are really doing though. I think she just decided that she doesn't want to be wet. It's 11pm, she just woke up and brought me her diaper(barely wet), went on her potty chair, let me put on a new diaper, and ran back to bed. I was so excited and amazed, I had to call Geoff(playing xbox with the guys). She is such a little girl... I'm proud, and missing my bebe. *sigh* At least potty training is comming relatively quickly.
comadeLucky!!!!
mrs_rossheadWow, that's great!

Again, the silly monkey 12-03-08 08:34pm PST
So my mom just called and had to tell me about what Abbers was up to, they took her up to visit my bub in the hospital. Well, she was in the back seat munching on salt and vinegar chips while cooing and singing to herself. James introduced her to them way back when and now she loves salt and vinegar chips, not the Lays brand though(i think they are too strong).

But that's not the funny part really(it is to me but I've loved salt and vinegar chips since my auntie introduced me to them, while she was pregnant). So my parents and baby sister were all in the car and were turning into the hospital when Abby saw a billboard advertising some Sale with a giant "sale" in red on it. Well, no one had said anything about it and Abby pointed to it and said "sale!" as clear as a bell. My family thought this was hilarious since she loves to shop already, seriously. But so that's her first sight word that she recognized, and now I have a story for tomorrow.
comadeThat is sooooo funny! I was just joking with my mom yesterday that Meredith is going to know all of the brands she is wearing. She kept calling her shoes "Landsend" bc Anaja said oh Meredith I like your shoes are thosoe Landsend?
tatertothaha!
mrs_rossheadThat is a cute story! And, yes, I believe my granddaughter will know all the brands she is wearing! But, she will say, "Oh, I got them at Savers!

Hrumph... I didn't hear a "Hrumph" outta you! 11-29-08 06:44pm PST
So, Abber's isn't feeling well(luckily she's laying down for a while). I'm supposed to be studying for my test. But in other news; I altered my plan to cut my hair, I want it to be longer when I do cut it. So I'm aiming for maybe summer. So I trimmed it up a bit and wow it makes a huge difference. But I had decided to trim my hair this summer, I wanted to trim about 4-5 inches. But before I did I kinda thought it was a waste just to throw away so much hair. So I looked into donating it. I was already half-way there so why not wait a bit longer. My hair grows really fast. So I set the date, I'd cut it in 5 months, on my birthday. So if I cut it now it'd be to my shoulders. My hubby loves my hair so he thinks I should wait. I was thinking about it and I really have nice hair, I've always taken great care of it and it grows so fast. This may be the only time I am able to donate my hair, so I might as well make it worth it and grow it out more and keep doing light trimming(usually a trim for me is several inches). So I'm thinking this summer is a good time to aim for, and I can get a fresh new cut for the warm weather. That's my new plan. I just have to fight the urge to hack and whack my hair.

On the other side, my Bub goes in for surgery on his spine on Wed. If he doesn't get it done, he will lose the function of his arms. But because his 4 bulged disks that haven't healed are pushing so much on the spinal cord he can be paralyzed from the neck down, even with surgery. My brother is 27 and was in a wrestling accident several years ago while at college. He was literally dropped on his neck and is lucky to be walking. So I'm having to see if I can go be there for him. I wasn't able to go see him tonight since Abby's sick, we can't expose him. If I can't, I might not see him til Christmas. But if I don't I might just have to drive up to see him later. It's going to be a long week.
mrs_rossheadYour brother will be in our prayers. That all sounds kind of scary!
I think your goal to donate your hair sounds like a good one! (David did it!) You'll just have to get used to tying it up into a ponytail for awhile! Good luck!
Hope that Abby feels better soon and that you and Geoff don't get sick. :)
tatertotthanks, I know he's really worried. I know I've written about my hair plans on my myspace but not on here, my hair is already driving me nuts. I was encouraged by another guy friend that decided to donate, 19 inches! So he went from beautiful curls to a buzzed head. I'm determined to make a good donation. Abby's also on the up and up, so that's good.
tatertotHis surgery went well, he sounded a little loopy on the phone... evidently he isn't hurting but he's very hungry, gotta love the effect of pain meds.

Life is good. 11-16-08 02:34pm PST
Well, Abbers is talking up a storm it's hard to remember sometimes that she's just a baby. Potty training is still an adventure. Mahala is doing great. Abby and Mahala have been having a great time together since she's been home. I love it when they dance, they are so cute. I just showed Abby the chicken dance, I want to get a video of her in her costume doing it... she was a chicken. I got a few extra outfits/costumes from the Halloween store AFTER halloween. So Abbers was running around with her fairy princess stuff on over her clothes. She loves dresssing herself. Ahh, but it's nap time right now. :)

My job is great right now, I'm in a great Dept and have a good lab partner. I'm in heaven with all of the reading material in my department, I kinda wish it were my permanent placement. But I'm excited, my boards are at the beginning of next month and I'm a little nervous. I just want to pass on my first try, so I can get back to patient care. But til then I get holidays off so I can't complain. I love my dept!

So once again I am feeling the old creeping in... I used to think 25 was old. I'm married to an old man(I still love you though). I don't like this whole getting older bit. I get all sad when I see people like Billy Crystal, Robin Williams, and my favorite--Charelton Heston(sigh... I really liked him). They aren't supposed to get old, and they sure aren't supposed to die. I don't ever want to go to a nursing home, ugh, I hate nursing homes. Half of my life is already over... maybe I should immortalize myself in the guiness book. No, too overdone. maybe I'll contract out for a statue of myself, hmm. Or I could just get on a reality TV show and be the one that everyone hates, so I'll be kept on long enough that everyone will know me. Just like Sanjia. Hmm, maybe that'll be my New Years resolution. Nah, I'm way too lazy for that. I'll just sulk around and drown my sorrows in a nice big cake with 26 candles. My hip is killing me, I think I'll have some warm milk, take my geritol and go to bed late, maybe at 6 or even 7.

Well, that was my old ramble. Those things happen when you get old and senile. Anyways, I'm off to get ready for friends and family night at Sears. Maybe I'll win something.
mrs_rossheadhahahaha! You are funny! Before you know it, you'll be 50!
Being a mom is always a good way to be remembered!

I'm here at Chris and Courtney's having such a good time with Merry and Teddy. I leave to go home this Friday. I started thinking about leaving them and almost started crying. I'm sure going to miss them.
Tell your old husband 'hello' for me!
comadeI wish we could get together sometime, I think the girls would have a lot of fun playing!
tatertotI know, it would be so much fun! the girls might even have a good time;)
