Well things are moving right along with school. I had a great moment when I had a 91 in accounting then I had to take a quiz and brought that done to an 78. whew I am going saturday to meet with donna jo and see if she can help me get some better understanding of this accounting. I did take a quiz last night in my accounting class and got an 80. the business class is going really good have had an A in it since the start of the class. It's really awesome to see some of these young folks from church growing up. Davis has now got her a new car and driving all over the place. The Trammels have now got their new home not far from here, although I miss them being across the street. My dad has been moved into a different nursing home in Indiana, he seems to have adjusted to it well. He does not have a private room, which means he has a roommate and hopefully this weekend Irene will call me and I will be able to talk to dad. His dementia has gotten increasily worse and he has fallen a couple times at home and the doctors deemed it necessary that he don't be alone anymore. Had fun taking care of dakota while the Hicks were in Alabama. It would be great if I could teach Buddy to be a little more like dakota instead of such a bouncing around dog wanting to go outside every 10 minutes. Of course I still watch my favorite boys every week. It is such a joy in my life to play with Ian and Nate. I am so grateful that I get that opportunity to play with them.
Sounds like life is good right now for you! We just got back from trick-or-treating with the Hammonds. I have a tired pumpkim and a tired, but he is denying it, Jedi Master. Going to bed now.
I hope Mrs. Dona Jo can help you with your accounting class! She helped Anna and I figure out our business taxes. Hope you got to talk to your dad! Have a good week!
Got my final grades for this semester. A in the intro to Computers and B in the English class. Now I am kicking back relaxing a little until October 6 when class's resume. Had today off and slept till 11:00 a.m. went to take Buddy out and got just past the house and saw a coyote running across our yard, quickly grabbed Buddy by the collar and went back into the house for the leash. Deciding now will take a flashlight with me in the dark early mornings to avoid said coyote. Don't know what to do just pray the coyote doesn't get Buddy cause my landlady doesn't want to kill or trap the coyote.
Yeah for your good grades! Enjoy your days off. In case you are wondering, I am tutoring 7-9 pm Th nite. Again, once Nate is in bed, you can leave for your TV show. :-)
Oooooh yeah... the other night, Anna and I took a 9 o'clock walk. You know how we loop the culdesac. We made our 6th circle by the parks mailbox and as we came up on my mailbox... I saw a glint of an animal shoot across from the green's towards you. We went straight in!
Hey Susan!! I hope things are going good...we haven't chatted in awhile it seems!! Well, at least a week or so... :) Either way, I miss you! And BEWARE of that coyote...one nite Janet and I were walking and it darted across the street with us out there!! Ahhhh....keep Buddy on a leash! :)
I had a coyote alpha male check me and some backpacking friends out two years ago in Yellowstone- it was pretty amazing- he gave us a look like "WHAT are you??"
Ok this quarter is almost over. My computer class has an extra credit final and a regular final. My english class I have a 1 and a half page essay to write that is basically answering a question regarding a reading from our english book plus answer 7 questions on that same reading. Got a good start this afternoon with the English paper still got some work to do there. Jumped right into that extra credit final in computer class. Got a 91.4 on it. Yess!! Anyway time to relax watch some t.v. and go to sleep. Keep ya posted on this.
UGGGGGGGGGG, I've heard of this happening to others. Never thought it'd happen to me. Tonight went to a birthday celebration with some of my friends from AA went to the restroom and somehow my case for the cell phone flew right off my belt, cellphone case and cellphone flew into the toilet. I quickly grabbed and started drying off the cellphone. The think no I know I killed it dead. I know its' dead oh know what AM I do to. I am addicted to my phone all these numbers I may have lost
A moment of silence for my dead phone. WAAAaaaaaaaaah
OK OK breathe.
Thank God we have rain! Ok kinda a lame title for a post. After weeks of no rain we finally got some good rain. Yes, I am the first to moan and groan about the rain. How Buddy is insistent on not going out in a downpour. Yesterday morning he was so bent on going out, he was trying to hurry me out the door, when I grabbed for the leash and opened the front door he stepped back four feet from the door and was just about pulled out by me. I am so bad I just knew he had to go and he couldn't not go out with me going off to work. Monday afternoon when I got home I checked the mail box. no mail, sometimes are mail runs late but usually I get it on my way up the driveway coming in from work. Well its not raining about 4 p.m Buddy wants to go out so I decide we will walk down to the mail box. Boy was that a wrong decision we got about to the next house and it just started pouring rain. Buddy turns a round and he's flying up to the apartment. I am getting soaked I have no run in me. Get back into the apartment, grab the bath towel, and change clothes I am totally soaked. Open up the windows for the nice breeze coming through. We got rain, no tornados in our area, no down trees.
Finally after months of planning, and not being able to hook up for one reason, weddings or another. Steve, Anna, and I got to have dinner at the Golden Corral last night. Good company, good food was had by all. I was stuffed when we left. Thanks Steve and Anna enjoyed it, was well worth the wait.
Work has been work. I've got in a habit of getting there early, finding out my hall assignment, getting my list of residents who have their baths on that particular day and then finding a quiet place and reflecting on the day. I say a prayer for my attitude towards my co-workers and for the physical strength to do my job. For the most part I usually get to stay on a particular hall, where I know more about these particular residents. I know which ones I can handle myself, which ones I will need help with and their particular needs. It makes things alot easier knowing this. Their is no quess work when you know someone likes to have coffee with their meals, or they just want to stay in bed until after breakfast. Of course I am moving fast all through the day, the only time I stop is for my ten minute break in the morning, my 30 minute lunch, and then of course my ten minute break in the afternoon. So when I get home I usually move pretty slow. Today is my day off, got plenty to do in the school work department. But I am still sitting here enjoying my cups of coffee. Been out with Buddy twice now since 8 a.m. We walked to the end of the drive way for the morning newspaper the first time and then we just went out in the yard the second time. Now its time for me to get motivated to go to the store for some needed items. Only a couple weeks left in this school semester and then will have a couple weeks off until the fall semester. Trying to maintain my B average in both class's. its a lot easier to keep the grades up then to have to pull them up from a lower grade.
