How is it that I am the one who gets stood up at showings but gets the exciting, I do mean that sarcastically, priviledge to witness a domestic assult?
So I got early about 12:40 to show a property by 1:50 I hear slapping and yelling coming from the far side of the next door duplex, thats how loud it was. I go out to see whats going on, I know stupid but I was actually aready on my way to my car. I see one lady run out and try to get in a car. She sees me but doesn't ask for help and I didn't know what to do, I just froze trying to decide if I should call the police because she goes back in and I hear yelling a few times and her coming in and out. I had to use the bathroom bad so I came home, ok the bad part is how close this was to my house, a few minutes. I quickly returned and find the sherriff there. Since I didn't see anything nothing was done but I think they were accusing the wrong girl. Girl/Girl fight over exboyfriend. or that is what the police were saying.
AnywayI am on to my next showing, hopefully they will show up.
This past week has been great, except for still being sick. I think I am destined to be a hermit because anytime I go out even to the mailbox it comes on worse but I am now on meds 24/7 trying to kick it.
Wed Mark got off work early because it was so slow. We made it to Lexington about 2 hours earlier than expected but decided to head on to Richmond to hit the Wal-mart, made it there 10 mins before close. We were to lazy to make cookies so we got oreos instead for "santa". Then to McDonald's for dinner before heading to the building for services. Since we were there 45min early we got to figure out how to turn on all the lights. Caelan had issues falling asleep and the only way he would stay asleep is my sleeping on my chest.
Mom made a huge breakfast and after everyone made it there we ate and Caelan opened his gifts. Books, Mickey Mouse, bowl/plate/silverware, and a popup photo album. Denise, Stephanie and I all got sewing machines! Now I can sew here instead of relying on going to my parents or Mark's parents. Oh I forgot we met Steven too, Denise's boyfriend. We headed to my dad's side to stop in and Caelan got a riding car. Within the first 15 mins of having it he ate the numbers (sticker) off the little cell phone. We loaded up the car again with Nathan and headed back to Columbia. Mark and I decided to do some of the same things we did a year ago so we had TGI Friday's. They even had the potstickers! Then headed home to watch National Treasure 2 and play Nertz. It was hard to believe that it was a full year ago that I had went into labor.
Friday was Caelan's birthday so we prepped the house but took a break to go to Chuckee Cheese. Mark and Nathan, ok I helped some, won 342 tickets the best part is that we only spent $20 for food and 60 game tokens. each of us got 15 tokens for the day and that was plenty. Toys R Us gave him a balloon that fit perfectly into our party theme. Then back home to finish cleaning and making the cake.
I didn't sleep well due to dreams that the cake was falling apart. When we got up on Sat. we found the head had fallen off the cake. It wasn't to bad but unfixable. Oh well we got pictures the night before and I thought it turned out really well for being the first cake I have carved.
His party was great! A little crowded and I am sorry to those who were able to make it but we actually made enough punch and cake to have a bit left over but not an overwhelming amount. Which is great considering we are back on our diet. My goal is to loose 10 lbs by March 5, should be easy, right?
So back to the party, Caelan didn't dig into the cake really. Once I started eating he wanted it but I had to eat at the same time. He also made out great in the toy department. Considering we rarely buy toys he will definitly be set up for awhile. I think the toy that kept everyone entertained was the Elmo Live. Mark put it up on the tv and he did a show for all to see.
We went shopping for real food after everyone left and today is dedicated to cleaning up the mess, oh the mess. Well got to go my little 1 year old is needing my attention.
Ok I think I am finally getting over this cold. Caelan is doing well, I think his was more teething. Wed. was just a very rough day all around. I got up not feeling well and was on the phone with a client that talks for at least 30 min this time was almost an hour but the problem is that it is the same thing over and over and won't let me talk. And most of the conversation is about how much he knows and his life story. I had a meeting at 9 and didn't make it because he kept talking for 20 min after me saying I had an appointment. I decided it was time to pass him on to another agent.
Then because I had to get out for the agent tour I thought it would be a good test run to see how I felt. SOOOO Wrong. I should have never left the house because the only good thing was having lunch with Mark. When I got back to pick up my stuff my cookies and platter were gone and only 4 agents had viewed the property. So I called the owner and yesterday I found out that the property manager didn't know who they belonged to so he took them. Makes NO sence to me at all since all my stuff was around them along with the napkins. That was after a long string of really bad things that I just don't want to go into.
So crying all the way home Caelan continued to sleep so we climbed into bed and slept for the next few hours. I was so sick to my stomach by that time I just layed around.
I appreciate everyones comments.
On a good note: Caelan has picked up on walking VERY well. He will walk from room to room and has for a couple of days. He falls if something is in his way but for the most part he keeps his balance even if I am trying to throw him off, long story ;)
I am headed to clean and hopefully make it to our reunion bash tonight!
Sorry you had a bad day and weren't feeling well! Hopefully you will have a good weekend :) I can't believe Caelan is already walking...seems like he was just born...he's so adorable. Do the dogs like him walking all around now?
