Today is my Husband's 30th Birthday! We had a small surprise party for him and had a ball. It was a fun time with good friends and I think Kris really enjoyed it all! The girls had so much fun getting ready for his party. They love birthdays!
I love Michael Miller! I have WAY too much fabric- I worked for Hancock Fabrics for 3 years and bought a ton. One of these days it really will be something... :)
I am sorry we missed the party but I am glad yall had a good time! #3 - i know what you mean! Skating is an artform and if you quit for many years you have to re-teach yourself! I can't wait to do #8 :)
I'm with you on singing hymns all day long, and I'm especially good in the shower. Blue Bell Chocolate Covered Cherries ice cream is on my list of things to try when I next get to Texas. Thanks for the tip!
hi! very cool. so you have twins? that would definitely be interesting! how old are they?
i also LOVE roller blading..me and my friend growing up used to go as soon as we got home from school and blade on through the evening! i haven't done it in forever!!
I'm glad you think you can use the idea. It is such a simple thing to do and the kids love it. I've done it quite a bit with little kids when I use Palma Smiley's To Toddlers With Love. I haven't taught this age group too often. It is hard to teach 5-6 year olds because they need meatier lessons but can't necessarily read yet. Visuals are so good. We'll be studying the Judges next. Gideon and Samson seem easy to do something like this with. Gideon: sheepskin, horn, maybe a bag of corn to represent his farming. Samson: plastic bee, small wig or small scissors (he wasn't to cut his hair), rope, small lion. I'm thinking these up as I type so there might be some better ones, but you get the idea. I was going to use a cloth bag that I had made for the baby class but they are using it. I was in a bind so I just used a brown paper lunch bag. It worked fine.
By the way, I've always wanted twins. I have 6 boys. I took a picture of each of them at 9 months in a tub like yours above. I have them hanging in my bathroom.
The last two days have been so wonderful here! It has been in the 70's and we have really enjoyed that! The girls and I met some friends at the park today for play time and a picnic. They had a really good time! I enjoyed it being so nice and cool! It really makes me ready for more of that! I get to spend some wonderful, much needed time with my sweet sister next week! I am really looking forward to that!
We had Kathryn's blood taken last week to see if she has all the same allergies as Maddie. I am interested to see and we should hear back any day!
Besides our busy day to day lives I have been finishing up an eBook that will be for sale at YCMT . I am really excited about it and will be adding several more in the coming months. It is a great site and where we have gotten many of our sewing patterns.
We are continuing to pray for all those affected by Ike.
I have been buying a little bit of all the colors since we don't know yet. THe store is called Doodlebugs, here in Granbury. I have heard of Once Upon a child but I don't know where that is...
thank you for finding and sending that to me.... I would be very interested in a ladies class like that, we have one going on right now at our congregation that I would like to get thru first. It should be over by the end of Oct. What are your thoughts about it?
Maybe a boy for one of your girls :) Little Emma won't be too much older, but ok that is getting a little ahead of myself.....Or has Brayton spoken for her already?
