GIRL! We are so excited! I think we have a name, but it could change we have 4 more months!
The name might be Addison Claire.......that so far is our favorite name!
Jon is loving his rotations, he loves working with the kids...
Classes started for me today, let me say grr to that. I thought I was ready for that but maybe not. The only thing getting me through is knowing that I am almost done!!!!
So excited for you guys! Little girls are SO sweet. And that is a beautiful name. I wanted Lily's middle name to be clair but Ryan wanted it to be a family name.
I met some of your friends at the University church in Auburn on Sunday. The Davis' are the best and they told me to tell you hi for them. I'm impressed by how young of a congregation it is but sad that appointing elders is not even close to happening right now.
I think so the other congregations in the area do not have as good of a reputation as University. It's a bit of a drive but I knew that it would be so I've arranged for my company to pay for my travel to and from services twice a week. We had a devotional at Jerrod and Holly's house after services on Sunday evening and there were probably over 50 young people there. It was absolutely incredible.
Yes I did end up finding the place but in true Josh like fashion I misunderstood the dates of the meeting and the last night was Wed night not Fri. Oh well, at least I got to see the country side.
Before I moved here I thought spring was my favorite season. Mainly because we never really experianced a cooling effect in the fall. It stayed hot the whole time! So now that we live here in Mo. I think that Fall is my new favorite season. I love the leaves changing and the cool weather...ok now that you know that here are a few things going on with Jon and me.
Jon took his boards and we are so glad! Now we just have to wait for him to get his score......He starts rotations in a hospital on Monday! He is so excited and slightly afraid, I think. So Look out if you get hurt in Mo, Jon mightbe with you through it all!
I can not wait to go back to school, I actually think my brain has stoped working, I might be brain dead. So I start on the 18th of Aug, and on that very same day we find out what our little baby is! We are so excited, Jon asked the doc if he could read the ultrasouund to see what it is, but I am not sure I can wait that long! I will be laying there yelling "tell me already!!!!!" (Pregnancy hormones, are a beast all thier own, Beware!)
We did get the nursery set up and ready, I think we might register today! I am not really excited about that, if there is anyone who wants to do that for me please let me know! I am excited about baby, but I am not excited about having to think, remember my brain has passed away.
That is it! We are crazy busy with nothing important!
Hannah
So what do you have left for school? I can't remember at all! How exciting that you get to find out what you are having so soon! How did you decorate the nursery? I never registered until I knew what I was having but it didn't really matter because most of the big stuff (which is what we registered for) we got gender neutral so it would work later on too. That is so exciting about Jon. I can't believe he's already taken boards - it seems like you just got here! Glad to hear everything is going so well! If you need any help with anything let me know.
That's funny, I didn't realize what you meant by "registering" until I read Becky's comment. I thought you were dreading to register to vote or something like that. Glad to know all is well. I am always amazed at how constant the temperatures are here in FL. In CO the temps cool down to a very comfortable 70 degrees in the evenings. I was out playing ultimate frisbee last night at like 9pm and it was still 90+ with 90+ % humidity. Gewww!
Hey Hannah! Hope your pregnancy and everything is going well. Let us know when you find out if it's a boy or a girl and good luck with school this fall!
Oh, dear one, I'm praying you have a good time of anticipation for baby's arrival, that you have much time in preparation/planning for him/her spiritual future. And that your brain jumps right in and tackles yet another year of study. Loving you.
I found myself reading everyone's blogs today and thought "how nice it is to hear about what is going on in their lives" which lead me to think that someone out there might read my blog.....we will see!
There is actually a lot going on with Jon and I, he is taking is boards in June. So, any and all prayers about that would be great!
I am taking the LSAT in June as well, I really am not nervous. I am only taking it because my school is paying for it, and a teacher has asked me too, so I thought what will it hurt! I might go to law school one day! I thought about not taking it after we found out our big news! And that is that we are expecting! There will be a baby Matlock in Jan. of 09. We are so excited!
We have just finished classes, and we are in AL, visiting family! We have loved seeing our precious nieces. Oh they are beautiful! Robert and Andrea are doing great, we miss living so close to them!
Good luck on the test! You never know if you'll need it later. So Jan huh? How exciting! I know you guys are so excited about the answered prayers. Have a great visit with your family!
Congratulations!!! Hate that we just missed you in Dothan; those 2 girls are absolutely precious. :) Good luck to Jon on the boards; that's super exciting, too!
Hi everyone,
I thought that it was about time to update. There is really nothing going on to update. Except I changed majors, which has been great! I like it much better than Education. Jon is looking at places to do his last two years. So I think that he will go a few places during his spring break and check them out. I can not go with him, due to the fact that my spring break is not at the same time! Which is really sad, it happens this way every year! But I will get to go home for a week, I am going Auburn for a few days, Then Dothan and Birmingham ......but Jon cant go with me....well you know why! But that will not happen very much, since we are almost done!
I hope that everyone is doing well! We are thinking about everyone!
What did you change your major to - Legal Studies? Are you still thinking about going to law school. I can't believe that Jon only has 2 years left! Where is he considering doing those last 2 years? Is KC an option? What specialty is he looking at? Or is this just his last 2 years of his first 4? I can never remember how long you've been here or how the program works that he is doing. Yeah that you are almost done! Have a good spring break! I know you'll miss being with Jon but hopefully you'll still have lots of fun. :)
Hi everyone I changed my major to legal studies, I can get done faster And I like it much better! I am thinking about lawschool, it depends on a few things right now. I am doing everything though as if I am planning on it!
hey sis. you will be good at what ever you do! Especially Law school, you are good at arguing your point! School is extemely busy and Im stressed to my witts end ..
Hi everyone! I just wanted to let everyone know that we are doing well. The last few weeks have been wonderful and hard at the same time!
We both have started school; Jon is in his hardest semester yet, so keep him in your prayers! I am taking a pretty heavy load, but I think that this will be a great semester…I hope!
We had a great visit with Andrea, Lily and Aunt Linda. They were so wonderful; they came in and unpacked us pretty much completely! And we got to do a few things that I really wanted to do, but lacked the motivation….I had it that week.
Jon and I, (the week before that) went on a "second honeymoon" it was beautiful!! Everywhere we went I was in amazement. Going somewhere like that makes you wonder how anyone could ever doubt that God was and is the creator! It was amazing. I was very intrigued by the information that we learned while we were there. One of the tour guides on our rafting trip told us that the mountains are actually deteriating. That was so shocking to me. How something that has stood there for so long is now shrinking away.....sad?
I hope everyone is doing well! Sorry it has taken me this long to post! We are not that exciting!
You two are very exciting! And are always up to something. :-) I am glad you two got to take that "second honeymoon" it's really important. I miss you and love you silly girl!
Well hey , that is great sis. But anyways I know how you feel about a ruff semester, mine could not be any worse. Well I'll talk to you later. Bye love ya
You and Jon are going to Michaiah's wedding aren't you? I didn't know how that would work with both of you in school. I just figured I would see you there. The shower you gave Michaiah was so nice. You did such a great job - I'm sure it meant so much to her.
Thank you, Hannah, for your love. It means so much to me. About those mountains - that breakdown is happening all the time. Look at the round Appalac... in the East. I like many of the huge hills around us here in Africa. The dirt/sand has eroded away and all is left are flat-topped "koppies." Wasn't Colorado wonderful? I loved living in the West when I was young. So much to see, so much variety.
Yeah, you're in the middle of a winter storm and we're baking in the sun over here! It's supposed to get cold again soon though. We're doing well...Brandon took his last final yesterday so he has a whole month free of classes! He is staying busy at work though. How are you guys doing? Hope you stay safe and warm!
