Sup peoples, my name is the_lovely_vampire, and I will be your tour guide in this bus ride we call insanity. Please fasten your seatbelts and enjoy the ride. Oh, and no biting the person next to you.
Everyone who knows how I write knows that when I hit a wall, I move on to further chapters ahead. I need your help this time though. I'm kind of in a pickle here and I don't know what to do, so any comments would be appreciated. Okay, so here's what I need, I am writing a masquerade ball and each character must have a costume. The only conditions are that the suggestions for each character must be an animal, be it insect or whatever, and every character's costume must have a symbolic link to that character's personality...Other than that everything is fair game. Just one last thing though, PLEASE be serious about this.
Thanks,

It was dark, so unbelievably dark that I couldn’t even breathe deeply without the pitch black darkness oppressing me. The darkness stole my breath from me, and covered my eyes in never ending night, leaving me helpless before its awesome power. I struggled briefly to escape the bonds which held me bound, and in doing so discovered that my bonds were not made of the darkness that I feared, but were in fact bonds of the iron chain and cloth gag variety. Horror washed over me as I realized this, and realized something else as well. I was now a prisoner, in some unknown place, and I knew not what they were going to do with me.
The sharp tell tale click of a lock brought a sense of desperation with it that settled into my very bones as I heard that horrific sound. Two sets of heavy, measured, footfalls followed immediately, growing louder every step that would bring my captors nearer to me. Now was so not the time to panic, so I concentrated instead on bringing my heart rate to a tempo normal for a sleeping person, and laid my body back down, hoping that my captors would not be able to tell the difference.
“You came close to damaging her with your chemicals. Too close. When the master awakens he will be most displeased with you for harming his chosen bride.” The hideous voice of one of my captors said chiding the other in a tone of voice that could only be described as sneering at the other man.
“Well it worked didn’t it?” The other of my captors said with what was clearly indignation on his part. “She’s here now isn’t she? And as for coming close to damaging her, I feel that I must point out that I haven’t.”
What were they talking about? Who where they talking about? My head spun in answerless questions that it appeared I would never know the answers to, because in the next instant I was spirited away to a castle, dressed in the most fantastic dress, standing before a throne in which sat a man I knew well. It was the same handsome man that had haunted me in my worst nightmares since I was little.
He was tall, as he always was, and he leaned towards me with a fist under his chin as he took in my appearance with obvious relish. A sad facsimile of a smile played over his face, as if he liked what he saw. I wanted nothing more in that moment than to wipe that smile off his overly smug face, wanted to run from the man before me, not just because he scared me so completely, but because he was so cruelly beautiful.
His face was perfect in every way. The shape of it was a perfect oval, eyes of deep green sat perfectly behind long black lashes the color of ravens feathers. Whilst his aquiline nose was softened by the softest lips that were a startling shade of red. Though his hair overshadowed everything, his blue black locks waving gently to his shoulders in silky waves of deceptive softness.
He smiled at me, and I shivered, shuddering all over my body. That smile was just too creepy, it was a mockery of a smile, and it wasn’t even real. His whole expression had the façade of happiness, though the true expression was still visible, if not barely. It was a cold expression complete with absence of feeling apparent in every line. He then smiled wider at me, as if he was exaggerating to make a point of something. In all probability it was the fact that I was helpless before him, unable to turn away, even if I wanted to, like watching a car crash happen before my eyes and being unable to stop it.
Now he rose from his chair, the elegant trappings he wore only adding to his menacing presence. The black of the cloth was as dark as his soul, and the crimson thread embroidering that embellished it as repelling as blood. His cloak swirled around his imposing figure highlighting the arrogance of his face, the fake happiness of it and added its own mysterious light to the man before me. Standing, he looked like the embodiment of death in human-like form, all at once menacing, seductive, and mysterious, and I was all the more afraid of him. He lifted one hand to beckon me forward, and I suddenly had to restrain myself from running to him.
