Hey, sorry guys.
I'll post an update as soon as possible.
But right now, I just don't have the energy
to sit and rethink about what's happened to me
recently. But I promise...it's coming (:
P.S. Can someone remind a not-so-savvy pleonaster
how to upload a picture to my site? Not in a post,
but as my 'default' picture? Thanks!
You have to save the picture small, otherwise it says it's too big and won't resize it. So like upload it on photobucket and save the picture that's smaller.
Man, I haven't posted in FOREVER.
So I decided to give you an update on what I did for the entire month of November.
NOVEMBER 7TH:
My baby brother's birthday :) He turned 13! He's officially one of us, teenagers. (ugh!) The bad news about that day was I missed almost all of it! I got to draw on his mirror with window markers, but after school I didn't get to see him at all! :( Which brings me to my next event of November:
NOVEMBER 7TH - 9TH:
The Youth Lectureship at Market Street. All I really have to say about that weekend was that it was really, really refreshing for me to go and listen to the speaker. I cannot recall his last name, but his name was Andy. He was a really good speaker and I really enjoyed listening to him talk. I really liked the singing that went on there as well. Good weekend overall.
NOVEMBER 11TH:
I had that day off of school due to the Veterans. Vets. We salute you. I love having school off :) But the most important thing of that day was, my Dad's birthday! He turned 43! (I think :))
NOVEMBER 16TH:
At the ladies retreat to Lincoln City this year, we talked breifly about going to the Real. Life. exhibit, which I had gone to earlier this year with my American Studies class, and watching the documentry Invisible Children. So we planned that we would do those two things on a Sunday between services. So after church on Sunday morning, we went to Burgerville, and then headed over to the Real.Life. exhibt. It's run by a group called Medical Teams International ; http://www.nwmedicalteams.org/site/PageServer
anyways, it was really impactful and made people really think about what they need to be thankful for, that realize that we take a lot of things for granted in America. Afterwards, we went to the Dunagans to watch Invisible Children. GREAT MOVIE. WATCH IT!
NOVEMBER 20TH-21ST:
Me, Cori, Cody, Bekah, Shelley, and my Mom went to see the Twilight premiere at Bridgeport :) I was excited, just because they made a movie out of my favorite book. But I wasn't expecting great things. Of course, I was let down. It wasn't super great, but with the budget and time span they had, they did the best they could to put such an amazing book into a 2 hour movie. I don't think I will ever sit in line for almost 5.5 hours for a midnight premiere again though. Especially on a school night ;)
THANKSGIVING!
was yesterday! It was really good. I LOVE THANKSGIVING FOOD MOST OF ALL. It's ALMOST as good as chinese food. :) Grandpa and Grandma Brown came over and we had 'dinner' about 1:30. Then around 4ish, my Uncle Steve came over during his shift. So he scarfed some food down and watched Trenton's football game DVD that my dad made, then everyone was gone. Either going back to work, or heading home before dark.
After that, we digested a little while Carson took a nap. Then we headed over to my other Grandparents house where all my Aunst and Uncles and Cousins were there. Well, almost all of them. One of my Aunts was sick. But then we sat and visited with them for a while and had a second desert :)
After a breif description of my month, I'm only left with two questions for you.
1. What's your favorite Thanksgiving food?
and
2. What's on your Christmas list?! :)
Busy month for you! Thanksgiving food...the turkey soup on Friday. On Thursday, though, it would have to be the sweet potatoes. Christmas list...I don't really need anything...maybe some new clothes...gift cards...new slippers...I dunno.
1.all of it! OK, it's a tie between the turkey, potatoes, and stuffing, all drowning in gravy. 2.Hallmark Snowmen! and Manhattan Transfer, and dark chocolate.
Well, it's October already! Quarter grades at school are almost out which is crazy. I'm almost a fourth of the way done with my school year! Oh yeah, I'm totally counting down the days ;)
Last weekend was the Ladies Beach Retreat. It was really fun and I'm super glad I went. Good food, successful Bible study, and WAY too much junk food :)
This weekend, I'm going to Salem with my brothers to stay with my grandparents while my lucky parents get to go to the beach for the weekend with some friends. Oh well, me, Trenton, and Carson will make the best of it.
Hopfully I can go to the Homecoming game this friday against our closesty rival (Sunset HS). A lot of my friends are going, and since I'm not going to the homecoming dance, I do want to go to the game at least. It'll be REALLY cold though!
Well, enough for now, I'll post again soon. I promise it won't be a month from now ;)
I was laughing that you have Brown hair. I think your hair is nice, btw. I found a new favorite mint chocolate chip ice cream last night, Tillamook's. I'd never tried it before, and I love how the hunks are big and not tooth-breaking hard.
