She was really tired last night, but she still ding a "bang up" job editing my paper--most of which was very subpar writing and therefore really hard to read.
But she always does little things like that to make my life easier. And it's really nice. :)
Cognitive Dissonance is “a term used to describe the uncomfortable tension that may arise from having two conflicting demands at the same time or from demands to engage in activities that conflict with one’s beliefs.”
It is also what I'm experiencing currently.
I'm nearly done with my 5/12 page for my social psychology paper, but I keep on getting distracted by the fact that I could be playing WoW right now at Northrend.
And yes, I get the same way about books and movies. Except, if WoW was a book, I would actually disregard my paper in order to read it....
On the 14th, I have a Psychology paper due (10-12pgs) on Cognitive Dissonance and the FC Faculty.
On the 14th, Quantum of Solace (or, as Caleb and I refer to it, 'A Piece of Peace') comes out and we go and see it in theaters.
On the 14th, the expansion for World of Warcraft, the Wrath of the Lich King, comes to stores and will be subsequently downloaded onto my computer's last remaining space of hard drive.
On the 14th, I have an outline due for Dr. McClister on Paul's view of the Past and its Relationship to Philippians 3.
So I guess instead of an exciting week, I've got an exciting day?

As an addendum, and in partial fulfillment of James' epistle: Alex just got a job, so we should all rejoice with him and his end of unemployed suffering. ;-)
Yeah, you nailed the species with your list there. I'll probably primarily go for grouse. There are other special licenses and regulations for migratory birds, so I think I'll wait awhile to get into that. I am looking into ways to take the safety course online over the weekend. I picked up a Remington 870 (though now I'm wondering if I should have gotten the 870 mag for waterfowl).)
You forget I'm in Minnesota... there are lakes and rivers all around. Pine City is right in between two lakes, and a nice winding river goes between them. Apparently, a lot of that river his freely hunt-able (though I have to look into that more). Is it possible to hunt waterfowl with a regular shotgun load? Or are the 3 1/2" shells a must?
Well, that helps...but I stll don't know what the exclamation point means, what the color changes of the punctuation signs mean, or what the "punchline" of the comic is... :-)
