Please let me explain. When Joel and I lived in Charlotte we struggled with our coffee choices because we could no longer get the coffee we used to buy in Birmingham. At the time, we subscribed to Consumer Reports magazine. One month we got one that went into all kinds of detail about coffee. They had tested several kinds and rated them, etc. Caribou ranked the highest. Of course, being the smart but gullable & desprate consumer, we had to try it right away. We remembered seeing some Caribou coffee houses around town, but had never gone to them.
We tried it. We loved it. We tried all different roasts...I can think of only one or two that we didn't love. It is smooth, full of flavor but not bitter. The don't have flavored coffees, they just have all types of roasts (light, medium, dark). Each one is different.
Well, we moved back to Birmingham. No more Caribou. We went through withdrawals and settled for buying random coffees here and there. Finally, I got fed up. Now, I order my coffe online at www.cariboucoffee.com. It's a little more expensive, but wow! So worth it to me!!!
I haven't thought about Caribou Coffee since I was at your house in May! Thank you for reminding me. I know I have seen it around here somewhere. Could it be Target? I don't know. If I find some, I'll buy it!
Yes! Well, I mean we could push the girls beds together and make a king size. I think we could make it work...if you bring the pack and play then everyone could be in the girls room. My girls can sleep on the air mattress or the couch. They love to do that! Let me know if that would work ok for yall!

AHHH... the baby's asleep and I can finally sit down! Sometimes I feel like my day never really ends, it just blends into the next one somehow. Where did my sleep go? Am I ready for work tomorrow? Is the diaper bag packed so Joel can use it? Oh yeah, I need to clean my bottles for pumping, and did I forget to feed the dogs? What about dinner...it's 10:00pm!! AGH!!!
Now I understand that being a mother is not something you can really explain to anyone. I have a new-found respect for all the women in my life that are or have raised children successfully. These are women that I watched for years in my pre-mommy days and I never understood what they were going through (in particular, my sisters...my hat's off to you!).
These days, it's the weekends that I live for, when I can leisurely spend time with Lily and some time with Joel (he works on the weekends).
Speaking of Joel, now it's time to brag on my husband! He is the ultimate daddy. He takes care of Lily 5 days a week while I am working. He changes diapers, feeds, rocks, cuddles, and plays with our child everyday! He is awesome! I am so glad that he is developing a special relationship with our little baby girl!
I must go, my day will not really be done until the baby is fed one more time, the kitchen is cleaned up and I am showered. Goodnight to all...
I know the days that flow one into another, the mind-numbing exhaustion, and the endless stream of mommy-tasks. I remember the days of washing bottles, changing diapers, and sitting up in the dark of the wee hours. One day, instead, you find yourself helping with book reports, counseling about insecurities and struggles of middle school, and finding visual aids for the toddler Bible class. And so the endless stream of mommy-tasks goes on. It is at the same time exhausting and joyful. And the stuff sweet memories are made of. Wish I could be right there with you, through it all.
