Congrats Tim, Amanda, and Ashlyn...what a day you all had. I have tears of joy in my eyes as I write this; seeing this new life that a wonderful couple has created. Tim, it seems as only a short time that you were not much older than Ashlyn!
I read somewhere recently that you should "enjoy the small things now because they become the big things later." As much as you love and enjoy her now, you can't imagine how much more it will be for you later. Treasure!
congratulations guys! I tried to go to bed last night before I saw the announcement but I couldn't sleep - I had to get back up and check online to make sure mom and baby were okay before I could rest!
Hey, Tim. We will be anxious to talk to you as soon as possible after Ashlyn arrives. Our prayers continue to be with all of you. Phil and Shante just called to check on y'all. They have been keeping up with your bog today and are very excited for Ashlyn to get here! They want us to call no matter what the time. We want you to call us too, no matter how late! God bless you. All of us are praying for a safe delivery and good health for Ashlyn and Amanda!
Hey, Tim! It's been a busy day for us so I am just now catching up. Poor Amanda! Pitocin contractions are hard enough, but to go through all this for this long...she must be so tired. You must be exhausted, too! Hang in there, both of you. We hope to hear big news soon.
I'm MOST IMPRESSED, Mr. (soon-to-be-daddy) Tim. I don't know that I've ever read a blog that was updated so faithfully! :) Hope y'all are doing ok. Hugs all around :)
my cousin Cherry read my blog - her response (unprompted by your past assessments) was "your blog is so ... random" I couldn't help it - I laughed outloud and then had to explain.
9:40pm Nothing to report. We've been told the doctor should pop in sometime soon and hopefully we'll get another check. Thanks for the prayers! We're both pretty sleepy and anxious.
10:05pm Doctor came in but had to leave to deliver SOMEONE ELSES BABY. Should be back soon. Also, per my wife request I have to stop the updates for now.
Congratulations! We are so thrilled she's here! God has answered all of our prayers! Carynn waited up until Ashlyn was born and Shante said she let out a big squeal and clapped her hands when she heard the good news. She told them she knew it was a girl all along. Shante and Phil and the kids all send their love and can't wait to see all of you!
I was SO thrilled to receive the pics of y'all & beautiful Ashlyn Joy! I'm sorry y'all had such a long, grueling day, but it was SO worth it, right?! :) Trina will be here Tues. so I'll share the pics with her & EVERYONE, as we'll ALL be together for Thanksgiving. Fred & I will be decorating for Christmas this weekend, as we plan to celebrate early, while Trina's in town. I'll look forward to more pics & updates. Hugs & kisses all around! Lotsa Love, Aunt Sis
Description: No larger than 22x30 with white border.
The Mission (should you choose to accept): Locate a reasonably priced cork board with wooden borders (too be painted white), or better, white borders of any material, from a local retailer.
Field Report:
19:00 - Visited local supply store (alias: Target) for purchase of said cork board. No suitable subject acquired.
19:15 - Visited nearby mess (alias: Chilis) for sustenance.
20:00 - Visited second local supply store (alias: Walmart) for purchase of said cork board. Possible subject acquired, further recon required before final assessment.
20:22 - Visited third local supply store (alias: Office Depot) for purchase of said cork board. Subject acquired matching all specifications.
20:30 - Mission Accomplished.....
...
Or, so I thought. Not 20 yards from Office Depot, as I turn out of the parking lot, Amanda decides that a cork board with black borders would look better than the one with white borders we just bought.
...
20:31 - Visit third local supply store (again) (alias: Office Depot). Return purchased supplies, and exchanged for cork board meeting the amended specifications.
20:33 - Mission Accomplished...(I hope)
In all fairness, the first we bought had a white boarder that was plastic. It looked cheap. The second had a nice wooden black boarder that will match perfectly with the red letters with polka dots! And the second nicer board was cheaper! I did feel really bad sending him back in there though! What a good daddy!
If you missed lectures this weekend...you really missed something great. So many Christians worshipping in one place, edifying one another, and praising our Lord...Wow, I can't wait for eternity!!!
I wanted to go soo bad. Daddy couldnt get off of work. My father uses Dee's qoute alot. Ofcourse he says its his. But, its straight to the point and terribly true!
Wish I could have been there this year. I REALLY hated missing it, but we had a family wedding. Maybe next year we'll be there with both our kiddos! :)
I heard it was wonderful! It's such a blessing to have the opportunity to do things like that! I'm sad I missed it!! :( But, I had a good excuse...I wasn't even in the country. haha
Hey Bo. I see your last entry was a year ago, so I'm not sure if you will even see this comment, but just wanted to say that I love you very much and I couldn't be more proud of you! God bless you and Amanda and baby too!
