i had a tiring weekend! it was fun tho. we had the future problem solving state competition. 3 teams from my school went. (each team having 4 people) well the booklet part, where you find out all these challenges and solutions, was a pretty hard subject. it's spose to be futuristic and everything and apparentlly they're REALLY strict at state bc my team thought we did pretty good. if you get first place then you go to international. and this year they did one 2nd place team (which happened to be middle where we are) and so we were hopin we'd get it and everything bc our coach who was a judge said tht everyone was struggling. BUT we didn't place in the booklet part. :( oh well. but on the good news....my team placed FIRST in skits. it was actually the fun part. so i'm happy about tht. at least we got a plaque for tht! too bad they don't count first place skits for international. but ehh. i had a lot of fun. so tht's all tht matters! anyway..thought i'd share tht with everyone! luv ya!
I am sorry that I did not come. We had some of Rob's family staying with us all weekend, so I was with them and Rob had to work. I am sorry, I prayed for you and thought about you a lot today. Perhaps we can get together and you can play the music for me and the kids, I would love to hear it, I know you must have been practicing and I know that you play that piece so well. I love you and miss you!
wow. district honor band was awesome! we had a lot better music than we did last year..prolly cuz i had 1st part this year..last year i had like 3rd. so anyway..i ended up havin 2 solos on pic. i was soo excited! i'm sad it's all over..now i just gotta look forward to state :) haha. comment!
Haha! I am going with Autumn. She said that she ecould take like up to two guests. But I don't really know where it is and stuff......I just go along with the ride! It looks like you know her! So you should ask her, NOT ME!! LOL(I never know anything....)
ok so everything is happening! so our fps (future problem solving) team made it to state! woo hoo! so tht's uhhh apriiiiil 14. and so is the soccer game =/ uh oh. and next week is district honor band! and april 21 is STATE honor band. and we just had district COMPETITION and got all ones. and now the BAND is going to state. and i have a solo in tht. =/ (scary.) oh and county math team and county scholar's bowl is comin up. so soo much to look forward to! and whew! it just goes on. but it's totally awesome how busy my life is ;) so anyway...tell me about YOUR life now!

ok so all-district/state tryouts are over and i FREEKED OUT!! my mom said she's never seen me tht nervous! ha! well i wanted state bad!! i tried my hardest and did the best i could. the girl tht's awsomely awsome is really nice but i wanted to go to state with her. not an alternate. i wanted to make it. and they didn't post the results yesterday so i've been really nervous if i made it or not. so this morning i walked in and they STILL didn't post it. then the moment of truth came. 3rd period band mr T had the results!! ahhh!!! then he made me think tht i just made district by leaving me till last and saying tht i made district. THEN he said i made state!!!!! i am sooooooo happy!!!!!! like i said, i worked really hard for it, so i'm finally relieved!! so yea i thought i'd tell everyone how it came out! :D
Congratulations! I know how hard it is...I was in band for 7 years (played clarinet and was drum major) and I always got the music to try out, but I always chickened out. Good job!
