It's the end of the world as we know it, and I feel fine. 11-05-08 02:52pm MST
Obama was elected. He has socialistic policies. He has immoral policies. He has unconstitutional policies. He will not lead our nation in the way that our forefathers intended. I daresay that many of our forefathers are "turning over in their graves" at what the United States of America has become.

John McCain, however, was not a candidate that represented conservative, moral, or constitutional policies either. He was perhaps not as liberal as Obama, but he was still not representative of the values that our forefathers penned in our Constitution or the values that I claim as a Christian.

George Bush was the same - he claimed to be conservative, but his policies were not conservative in the least. He did not use sound economic strategies, he did not value human life, he did not abide by the 4th, 5th, 8th, or 14th amendments. (Go read the U.S. Constitution if you don't know what I'm talking about.) Yet no one seemed to think President Bush was the end of our free society.

Now we have elected quite possibly the worst candidate available to lead this nation. Everyone is spouting "end of the world" rhetoric and is finally concerned that this nation is going to crash and burn. I wonder... where was your concern when Bush was destroying every shred of the Constitution with his policies? Yes, Obama (if he actually gets sworn into office after being made to reveal his place of birth) will be the end of the world as we know it.

And I really do feel fine.

You see, Obama is simply speeding up the downfall of our nation, which was inevitable. Under Bush, and continuing on to McCain, it would have been a slower downfall... more of a floating with a parachute, if you will. That parachute was going to eventually fail and we were still going to crash and burn. But now that Obama has been elected, we will free-fall instead. Perhaps more painful, but we will be able to pick up the pieces much sooner.

We, as a society, need to be awakened. And, just as under the Bush Administration, we would have stayed sleeping with McCain in office. Obama will be a blaring wake-up call to our nation. Things will get so very bad under his leadership that people will finally start thinking about our roots as a nation. They will wonder what ever happened to our Constitution and our morals and they will begin to search for the way back to where we began. With open eyes.

Open eyes are what we need. I'm sad to see that it has come to something as bad as Obama to do it, but it had to be done. Our nation would not listen to the candidates with sound Constitutional policies that would lead us in the right direction. People like Ron Paul and Chuck Baldwin and Alexander Hamilton and Todd McAdams and me and Daniel and Benjamin Franklin. No, we were just "crazy" and "old fashioned" and we didn't "understand how times have changed."

I am excited that, amidst all of the ungodliness and destruction, there is yet hope. A light at the end of the tunnel. A blossom sprouting forth from the hardest of soil. An melting of even the hardest of hearts and an opening of eyes that had been blinded. Help us bring back morality. Stand with us to defend the Constitution. Join us in the revolution.

"Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God." Phil 4:6
tangsoodotpmExcellent post...& thanks for the plug. :)
mrsawwadnice post......I know that John McCain was not the best either, but I sure voted for him so there was a hope to stop Obama. I really think this is an eye opener for everyone and I really hope that morals are kept. All we can do is pray about it and know that God is in control. We are blessed to be on the right side !
onelittlecandleExcellent thoughts!
lydiasmotherVery good words, I am glad that I meandered over to your blog. For me-- I am madder then an old banny hen when rude awakened--so maybe that is a good thing. Peace to you and yours.
ambie_06I believe there is hope as well. I'm just frustrated with the way people deal with what they call "politics". i'm hoping that people will now turn to God when they didn't before.
buckarooyeah he was like jammin real cool like probably cooler then anyone could possibly jam!!!
buckarooby the way the crash and burn blog seemed slightly pecimistic but maybe your right...
eehiabehiaSometime after Thanksgiving.
cyber_space_cadetA search shows that he was born in Hawaii.
crysiHi. I know you...you used to go to Jamestown. I keep seeing your name and finally went over here and I know you. Infact. I think one time I saw you at a store in Leb. and said hi and I don't think you had a clue who I was....
crysiYeah. We moved away then moved back again. I don't remember where it was, seems like Kroger. Nice to finally talk to you.
crysiI can't believe you were only in 6th grade. That's funny.
dragonsong1986I don't think epople have their eyes open yet. My history professor things it's going to be great under Obama, she doesn't see how this is going to go. It really saddens me because she was my favorite professor on campus and I really thought she was brilliant.
el_magnificoglad you like it :-)
crysiThank you.
logan__guitarThat's a nice post. And I've actually left that group. There was one guy who wouldn't quit putting everybody down whenever they said anything. And I'm afraid Texas won't be seceded :/

Do you guys think I would look this cool playing a ukulele?

I wonder if Daniel would let me get one? haha :)

Brilliant idea!
tryphenaI would think your fingers would still not have proper bendiness. :-)
eehiabehiaI was so going to suggest you play the ukulele but I was on my phone and couldn't spell ukulele without Firefox!

mrsawwadno..it did not fit. Oh well, she hated all the kids anyways. She had to be put in our room with Nathan so she would not bark. She was mute until that night. really...she never barked....

sweet find at the thrift store! 10-31-08 03:36pm MST
I'm planning to take my first Cake Decorating course in January. There's a pretty big list of supplies I'll need and I've been looking on e-bay and at Hobby Lobby and such.

I got the bright idea to try the local thrift store today. I was mainly looking for decorating tips, but I found none.

I did, however, find 5 Wilton cake pans ($3.83 each) and a spring form pan ($1.87). There are a few small scratches and dents on a couple of the pans, but I don't believe it is anything that will cause any problems.

I got:

-1 pan with 6 small bunny heads (2105-4426)
-a cute snowman with hat and scarf (2105-803)
-Ernie (of Sesame Street) carrying a present (502-3614)
-a rocking horse that would be cute for a baby shower (2105-2388)
-a cute jack-o-lantern 502-2928

I also got an extruder/cookie gun set, complete with instructions and 9 discs with different designs for $3.43. And a few other things for far cheaper than new ones. Woohoo!

I love thrift stores!

eehiabehiaSounds like a profitable trip!

I want to take a cake decorating class. Where are you taking yours?
karmaI've already started my internship. I started last month. I have 37/50 hours under my belt. I'm almost finished.
karmaBecareful with the scratches. If they're non-stick pans, the scratches can cause them to rust.
tangsoodotpmThank you for the kind words. I wish you and your husband the best at this new stage in your lives, with the recent move & all.
candyhereThanks! :o)
cyber_space_cadetWow, sounds like quite a bargain! (Several bargains, in fact.)
karma:( I dunno. The MBLEX licensed me in 14 states. If I take the national it will up me to 17, however, It depends on how many hours that state requires. *shrugs*

Mmmm, tomato soup.

I don't know if it's the dipping economy and people can't afford to pay regular prices for organics or what, but..

The King Sooper's (same as Kroger and we still call it Kroger, because... well, look at the alternative!) out here always has organics on manager's special for at least half of the normal cost. In fact, many times, the organic brands are cheaper than the non-organics.

Thus we've been able to afford organic milk (mmmmm... it tastes more like it's from a cow than from a faucet) and eggs (if you haven't tried organic eggs, you should. They're so much lighter and fluffier and yummier!)

It's been nice! We're afraid this trend will not last long, so we try to stock up, but we've had luck so far. Woohoo!

That's all.
eehiabehiaI hate milk but will drink organic milk. It doesn't taste spoiled like other milk does.
cyber_space_cadetI love organic food, but it's usually too costly. It's nice that you're finding it for good prices right now...enjoy! (I do prefer organic milk when I can manage it. It's so much better for you than processed milk...they process all of the good stuff out of it.)
mrsawwadhumm....make me think I should just buy a cow. Think that would be the cheapest way to go in Indiana. Glad things are cheap out there.
lesliemauckThat's odd. The organic food around here is a lot higher then the regular stuff. Why can't the prices be the same every where esle. :(
ummmm_oki wish stuff was cheap here in the good old corn state
eehiabehiaThanks Muffin!
