So...
Yesterday, October 10th, was the third anniversary of my marriage to Jonathan. Marriage has been wonderful to us. When we got married I didn't think it was possible to love him any more than I did that day, oh how naieve I was. I love him more all the time, more one minute than the previous. I look forward to spending the rest of my life with him. He has helped me to grow in so many ways, most importantly, I've grown spiritually. He has helped calm me with the DRAMA that seems to follow thoseofus in the Andrews family. We laugh a lot! He thinks I'm funny and I like the attention. I know he's funny, but most people don't see that side of him. He is so much fun to be married to. Before our first anniversary, we decided that it would be fun to follow the traditional gift giving guide for each anniversary. First anniversary: paper, 2nd: cotton or china 3rd: leather... so on and so forth.
Well it's easy to find a leather somthing for a man, but I've been so curious as to what he would get me. He is very good at gift giving. I'm always afraid that this will be the one that I won't be excited about, but it's never happened yet. He was creative with his gift giving once again. The bundle of joy is not what I know that some of you are hoping for, but we are getting a dog! I've wanted one forever, but we rent so Jonathan wasn't too keen about the idea. I haven't really wanted an outside dog here, because all the dogs in the neighborhood would be in our yard all the time. But in light of some strange happenings and unwanted outside visitors that we've had recently, we decided that it might be time for a dog. We are starting small, because we want this one to be able to stay indoors. We have been looking at a couple of chihuahuas and also there is a sweet little peki-poo(pekingese-poodle) that I love. If we go with the peki-poo we have to wait a couple of weeks. If we get the chihuahua, it will probably be a couple of days. I have to go and look at them again before I make my final decision. Jonathan thought about picking the dog out himself and naming it Leather, but then he decided that he wanted my input as well. So the leather gift he is giving me is a dog collar. I'm excited. I'm also getting a new phone. I'm excited about it. I dropped my phone in a glass of water one day over the summer and it died. After it dried I could still use it, but it's never been right after that.
Ok, you must be a true friend if you read all that, or else you are still looking for clues about a real bundle of joy in our future. That will come in God's time.
Love to you all!
Trishie
So here are 8 weird facts about me, that I bet aren't common knowledge:
1) I was once bitten by a camel (at the Buffalo Park in Tupelo Mississippi)
2)I've always wanted to be a homemaker, But it's not my favorite thing to clean. I do it in spurts. I'm in a cleaning mood today, in fact.
3) I am recovering from inflammation of the rib cage. Who ever heard of that? It's new to me.
4)I have 8 sisters, 2 brothers, 5 brothers-in-law and 2 sisters-in law.
5)I've been licked by a giraffe (at Busch Gardens in Tampa)
6)I rearrange my furiture at least once monthly. It takes me that long to figure out another way to do it.
7) I don't normally turn any lights on in the house until it gets dark or later if I'm home alone. I love to let the Sunshine filter in. If it's overcast or something I still don't turn them on as long as I can still see fairly well. I guess I'm just not used to turning on light switches until late in the day.
8)I've had several turtles in my life and I've named them all Snippy. Except for the one I have now, which I named Yertle, but secretly I call him Snippy sometimes because I forget.
Why do you always go on camping trips with out me!? I wanna be with my family. And I got cool earrings for my bday. And lip stuff that I havent tried yet.
Today is my baby sister's birthday. Go tell her happy birthday! Well she isn't technically the baby anymore. She was for 18 years though. Drink a Dr. Pepper in her honor. It's her favorite thing.
Thanks Trish for calling me the other day. I keep meaning to return your call when I put Clara down for a nap. But, I find myself catching up on house work and then she AWAKES!! Your call made me feel a whole lot better. Thanks.
Jonathan and I were awakened in the middle of the night last night by the neighborhood dogs barking under our bedroom window. Because of all the commotion we began to wonder what was going on out there. We have had someone try really hard to come in the front door in the middle of the night before, so we were a tad bit nervous that maybe someone was out there. Jonathan looked out and said that the dogs were fighting an opossum. I got up and looked out (and went out on the porch and took pictures, like a redneck). There were at times up to 8 different dogs in our front yard. They would growl at, then nudge the possum and he would lay there and play dead. When the dogs got too close he would snarl at them and they would back away and the possum would lie back down and play dead, mouth open and everything. Then they would repeat the process for about 30 minutes, until the dogs lost interest and went home. The possum laid in our front yard for awhile and then he too went home. It was funny to me that it worked. Well, that's the story for today, a big rat in my front yard. Oh, by the way, the pictures didn't turn out so well because it was the middle of the night.
