It has been a while since I have updated!!! A lot has been going on so I havent had that much extra time! First thank you again to those who have sent cards and requested prayers for my Grandma. She is doing great on both chemos and my parents just got back from visiting with her and they said she looks great too! :) Anyway, I have been working around the clock like crazy, I opened a second location and that is going great! I think the most stressful part of business is finding the right employees. People will tell you all the right stuff you want to hear for the position and if they are hired they show and do nothing that they told you they would! That is soooo frustrating!!! But thankfully I have wed, thur, and friday off so I am very much looking forward to that! I hope everyone has a great holiday and Merry Christmas!
Hope you enjoy your time off!! I didn't know you owned your business either. That's great. I'm sure it will get easier to find the right employees with more time and experience. That would be hard for me too, because it's easy to trust people when they tell you something!
Me too!! I'm sorry you're sick!! Oh and what time do you plan on getting here? I am going to have to run Luke by my mother in laws house too! So maybe if we leave here at 1 we should have more than enough time!
1. I love to read mystery/crime books!
2. I love going to work! When I was on vacation in Vegas, I was constantly texting or calling up at work seeing how the kids were and wondering what they were doing! I love kids...there's something that makes it worth while when 106+ kids run and give you hugs, you hear "I love you" all day, and you get to watch how fast they learn and grow! :) It's the best feeling!
3. I am VERY sarcastic and have a dry sense of humor! :)
4. I tend to hold grudges for a long time. (This is something I need to work on as a Christian.)
5. I am very bad at returning phone calls and emails! Also something I need to work on being better at!
6. I LOVE seafood.
7. I love planning weddings! I always wanted to be a wedding planner but the thought of working every weekend...made me change my mind :) But my best friend from kindergarten just got engaged so the planning has already started!
8. I want to visit every state at least once!
Just to update everyone...My grandma had her surgery today and the doctors were able to remove all the spots and they say they were able to remove all the cancer!!! :) This is great news to our family, thank you all for your concern and prayers! Please keep praying for a fast recovery and that she stays cancer free. Hope everyone has a great weekend!
First, thank you for the prayers and concerns for my grandma at this time. She had her procedure today and she didn't even remember it so that was great! She was really scared to have it done but everything came back ok, they will have to go back and remove some cancer spots but it hasnt spread so that was great news. Please keep praying for her until this is all done. Thank you :)
Ok so I know everyone has their different views on Vegas but I love going because first of all my Grandma and Uncle live there and second, there's always new stuff to do and see!! I flew out there last wednesday and had a blast! I needed to get away from work for a few days and take a break from everything! Ok, on thursday I got to see my grandma and catch up on everything with her and that night we went to an "oldies concert, called the Platters." They played 50's and 60's music! There were 3 different groups and it was really really good. I recommend it to anyone who goes to Vegas! Well, if you know me, I'm VERY sarcastic and when we walked into the show, I jokingly told my family I was going to be discovered there that night. Well.....sure enough in the middle of the show, one of the groups came in to the audience and pulled me out of my seat and took me backstage!!! I was flipping out! Well, I had to get up on stage and sing that Charlie Brown song "Why Is Everybody Always Picking On Me!!!" (they changed it to Lucy Brown though.) It was sooo embarrasing but a blast at the same time! Where else am I going to have a chance to do that?! The group gave me one of their cds and signed it after the show! Anyways, that night was the highlight of the trip for me.
Ok, on friday we went to the shark aquarium which was awesome! It had tons of different animals in it, once again stuff that you hardly ever get to see or touch!!! That was a lot of fun. Right after the aquarium, we went to a Titanic Musuem, which was very interesting!!! As soon as we got there, they give you a boarding pass with an actual person who boarded the ship back then and told you why they were riding and who they were with, etc. and at the end, you looked up that name on your pass on a wall and got to see if they lived or died! But they had tons of re-creations in there of 3rd, 2nd, and 1st class cabins and we took a family picture on the famous staircase that was on the ship! The artifacts were really neat to see, the whole museum was very eye opening and interesting to see. I recommend going to that if you ever have the chance! The rest of the trip was going out to eat, shopping and visiting with my grandma and Uncle Matt! I wasn't ready to come back on Sunday but back to the real world! I know this got long but I hardly ever post! But if you have the chance to go to Vegas and you haven't gone before, my opinion to you would be go at least once! The hotels and scenery just around them are amazing and unreal looking! Ok enought from me, I hope everyone has a great weekend! See ya Sunday!
I think that was your longest post ever! ;) I bet there is a lot of neat stuff to do in Vegas that has nothing to do with gambling and naughty women. :) The things you did on this trip sound like they were a TON of fun!! My old college volleyball coach retired and moved to Vegas years ago for all the food buffets! lol He said the were the best. :)
That is awesome! I'm glad your g-ma is doing better. :) That trip sounded like so much fun...I want to go to vegas! When I went to London last year I saw some artifacts from the Lusitania which was a sister ship to the titanic...it was pretty neat!
That sounds like so much fun! If we ever go, I'll have to get all your advice ahead of time. :) You can tell me all the good places to go. That's so funny that you got pulled onstage!! Crazy!
we went there one year, with Michael on a business trip, and the girls had a blast! we went to an Elvis show and he picked Ashlea out in the crowd and sang to her!! I think she turned 3 shades of red!! There is soo much too do there! most of the decent stuff is during the day, at night, you have to be a little more picky! i loved touring all the hotels on the strip!
That sounds like so much fun! I want to go to the Titanic thing myself. It's making me excited to go to New Jersey! We are thinking about going to New York...well who is thinking...we are going to New York. LOVE YOU
