Emily 08-27-08 02:41pm CST

Well, her fever is back, so I think staying home from worship tonight would be the best because I don't want to spread her germs with other little ones. She's having a good nap, though, and so are the other two angels. Yea! Quiet time!

Hope Emily is feeling better soon!! Hope you get some good rest tonight!

Interesting night 08-27-08 08:45am CST

Emily went to bed around 8 because she only had an hour nap, thanks to a dirty diaper waking her up early. Around 10, she was crying so hard, so I went in and got her. She was burning up! I took her temperature, and it was 102.2. Needless to say, I freaked out a little. I let her calm down for a few minutes, took her temperature again, and it was 101.8. So, Troy was looking for some clinic that was open at 10:30 at night. We finally found one, thank goodness! It was open until midnight. I took Emily, walked right in, filled out paperwork, and we saw a pediatrician within 5 minutes. Emily's ears were just fine, her chest was clear, and her throat was fine. The doctor said it was just probably a viral thing. I felt much better after taking her to the doctor. Fevers aren't something you can ignore.

So, when we got back home at 11:15, I gave Emily a bottle, rocked her for a few minutes, and she went to sleep on my chest. I put her in bed, had Troy carry Hunter to our bed, and Troy put Hunter's mattress in front of Emily's bed so I could sleep there. Emily did great through the night. They gave her some Motrin at the doctor's office, so her fever broke. I was going to give her some Tylenol in the middle of the night, but she didn't have a fever. I didn't sleep well because I missed being next to Troy, and he didn't sleep well, either! I think I did pretty well. Troy is the calm one, and I'm the one that freaks out!!

Yesterday was Annie's first day in her big girl bed! She took a nap on her bed and did wonderful! She slept very well in it last night. I heard her fall out of bed, but she climbed right back in! Bless her heart!!! My little girl is growing up!!!!

It always seems like kids get sick in the evenings when the docs office is closed. So glad you were able to get to a clinic to have her checked out! I know I always feel better to hear the doc say they are ok!

What a rough night! Glad everything's okay now. So did Troy not sleep well because he missed you, too, or because he had to share with Hunter? :) (Both, I'm guessing, unless Hunter's less mobile than Patrick.)

txmom

^^^I think both! Troy said Hunter was almost on top of him this morning! He doesn't sleep well without me, either. I told him Hunter LOVES to snuggle!!!

Annie fell off the bed and got right back up? Wow! That's great!

Gag! 08-26-08 10:08pm CST

Troy is watching the DNC, and I got physically sick listening to the lies coming out of Hilary's mouth. How can people think what she says is truth?????? She wouldn't know truth if it slapped her in the face.

Hot and tired! :) 08-25-08 10:45am CST

I just finished working in the garage for an hour. I had my fan, though. I moved the refrigerator to another wall. Before you are impressed by that, it was on wheels, THANK GOODNESS!!! Then, I moved some wire shelves from one wall next to the fridge. We haven't been able to pull into the garage because the shelves were in the way. Needless to say, I'm a little tired and hot. A pesky mosquito had a feast on my feet! Anyway, it's finished. WOO HOO!!!

I made sure to tell my sweetie what I did AFTER I did it! He knows how stubborn I am, and when I set my mind to doing something, I do it!!!

:)

WOW...I'll call you HE-WOMAN!! Take Care of yourself...with your reaction below. It seems as if you are feeling better!!!

I'm bad about that, too - I move heavy furniture before I tell Scott what I'm planning. It's always so nice when your garage is organized enough to use as a garage!

Thanks for the prayers!! I'm scrapbooking today...I'll see how many pages I get done!! Wish you were here...

Lesson learned the hard way! 08-25-08 12:06am CST

I learned today that I'm allergic to the antibiotic my doctor prescribed me! I had been itching on my back and chest all day and just thought it was dry skin. Well, DUH, it wasn't! Silly me! I had Troy look at my back before getting ready for worship tonight, and he said it was very red! Thankfully the kids were very active tonight because I don't think I could have sat still. Funny thing is, I think I've taken that antibiotic before. Don't know why I'm allergic to it now. Mom told me my grandmother, she and my brother are all allergic to that same antibiotic.

On a happy note, Troy and I just finished installing our closet organization shelves. WOO HOO!!! It looks awesome!!! We can't wait to get the kids' closet organized.

It's way past our bedtime, so good night!!!! :)
