Emily went to bed around 8 because she only had an hour nap, thanks to a dirty diaper waking her up early. Around 10, she was crying so hard, so I went in and got her. She was burning up! I took her temperature, and it was 102.2. Needless to say, I freaked out a little. I let her calm down for a few minutes, took her temperature again, and it was 101.8. So, Troy was looking for some clinic that was open at 10:30 at night. We finally found one, thank goodness! It was open until midnight. I took Emily, walked right in, filled out paperwork, and we saw a pediatrician within 5 minutes. Emily's ears were just fine, her chest was clear, and her throat was fine. The doctor said it was just probably a viral thing. I felt much better after taking her to the doctor. Fevers aren't something you can ignore.
So, when we got back home at 11:15, I gave Emily a bottle, rocked her for a few minutes, and she went to sleep on my chest. I put her in bed, had Troy carry Hunter to our bed, and Troy put Hunter's mattress in front of Emily's bed so I could sleep there. Emily did great through the night. They gave her some Motrin at the doctor's office, so her fever broke. I was going to give her some Tylenol in the middle of the night, but she didn't have a fever. I didn't sleep well because I missed being next to Troy, and he didn't sleep well, either! I think I did pretty well. Troy is the calm one, and I'm the one that freaks out!!
Yesterday was Annie's first day in her big girl bed! She took a nap on her bed and did wonderful! She slept very well in it last night. I heard her fall out of bed, but she climbed right back in! Bless her heart!!! My little girl is growing up!!!!
