OK WAIT!!! You have Memere's too? That what I called both sets of grandparents and that's what my kids call my parents. Well Memere and Pepere. I thought we were the only ones!! So who's side of the family is french?
We love Destin! We've always stayed on Okoloosa Island. Of course, now that Chris's family is in Orlando, that's where we'll do most of our Florida vacationing!
My 2 girls can be a handful - I can't imagine boys! We are doing great. As much as we travel to Louisville I am surprised we haven't run into you guys around town. My mom said you were really involved in the booster club. I really wish we had one here. I talked about starting one a few years ago but never did. Maybe someday I will have the time to do it!
Cutting coupons can save money. Well, as long as the amount you're saving is more than the price of all 3 Sunday newspapers. (We have 3 papers: Limestone County News Courier, The Decatur Daily and The Huntsville Times.) The coupons would have to save me more than $3 to make it worth my while. And with Kroger gone, there's no more triple coupon days. :-(
Thanks for that info. I've never heard that. Of course I have 2 girls so I don't know that that info is important for me right now but I might have a boy one day and I will remember that. Thanks!
Thanks!! We are big essential oil people so I just loved holding my sweet little miny girls and having them smell of lavender and knowing their diaper area would stay nice and rash free. I add it to our laundry soap too and love the smell.
and yes, I guess that makes me a bad "pleonaster" but what can I say, I've been busy.
*Finished a Bradley series last week, 3 of 7 babies born so far and I'm happy to say all are healthy and doing well.
*Nick is really loving school and seems to be doing well with that.
*Alex loves preschool and I'm hopeful that Ms. Christine can turn him into a frist time listener!!
*Soccer and baseball are in full swing and both boys are doing well. Alex scored 3 goals his first game and 2 his second...it was the cutest thing ever! Nick continues to do a good job with his hitting and is getting better about paying attention while he's in the field. I'll try to post some pics. soon.
*The financial world is in an uproar so that's keeping Bill busy at work but we're thankful everyday for his job and the good company he works for.
*I've recently joined the Facebook world and have really enjoyed catching up with old friends. I ran into a fellow I went to high school with, he moved away our freshman year, and it turns out he lives in the same town as I do and our little boys are playing soccer at the same Y...small world.
*Booster Club is keeping me busy. We have our 2nd annual Fall Festival next Friday night, so any of you in the Louisville area with younger children come out and have some fun with us. Prices are really low so it'll be a cheap, fun, family, Friday night. We are also working on getting some kids down to Falcon Days in October, I think we're going to have a pretty good size group and I've got three ladies offering to drive the van down (yes, they all have kids at F.C.!! LOVE IT!)
*One last little story and I'll be done...this past Sunday afternoon the boys and I watched Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Alex, who is a candy lover, decides he wants a Wonka Bar. It just so happens that while I was in NY a couple of months ago Billy and I went into Toys R Us in Times Square and they had a big display of Wonka candy and so I said to Alex "Tell Daddy and I bet he'll bring you back one from his trip to NY". Alex and Nick excitedly tell Billy they want a Wonka Bar and being the good daddy that he is he says he'll bring everybody back a Wonka Bar with the agreement that any golden tickets found are his! Well, the candy lover, has talked of this all day Monday and then Billy comes home and says the trip has been delayed a week or two because of the uproar over the weekend with the two big banks (one was sold, other filed for bankrupcy). So, for the past couple of days when Alex prays he asks God to "help the trip to New York"...you guessed it, he wants his Wonka Bar!!
You've been a busy Lady! Good busy, that is!! I hear ya with the first-time listener part! My middle guy doesn't listen worth a lick. It's nice to see that he will with someone else though. It proves to me that he *can* do it.
The old Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is a good movie, but the new one is a little creepy. I remember my sister was sooo scared of the older movie when she was a kid because something bad happened to most of the naughty kids. :) Hope Alex gets his Wonka bar!
I hope he doesn't drive you crazy waiting for his Wonka Bar! I wish we were in the Louisville area to join the fun with the Fall Festival. We had a booster club for several years, but it dismantled due to lack of interest.
We're settling in. My parents came when we moved in and stayed for four days. They did a lot of unpacking, cleaning, and watching the kids. With their help, we had most of the boxes unpacked and things put away by the time they left.
