in a cast and on crutches. Good news? Yep, considering there was a chance she might have to have surgery. So, she is now getting around high school, going to soccer practices and games, on crutches ): I'm bummed cuz I was so looking forward to her freshman year of soccer. She's had a great attitude and I'm so proud of her. I know being in a cast and crutches for eight weeks is gonna wear her out, and probably make her a tad grumpy(: at times. Today was only her second full day at school with it.
The girls are liking school so far. They like 'most' of their teachers. Im praying that this year will be so much better than last year.
VICKIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My favorite Vickie!!!!! How are you today??? I loved your 9-11 text today. Oh I am so excited about this pleo thing! Now we can chat even more! I am already so addicted! Love and miss you! (:
Wow she is a trooper! Stronger and better when she recovers ... that's how it goes! So sorry bout it all - although as you stated no surgery and that is GREAT!

Thank you! :) Yeah..I think/know a lot of people already assumed I had been..even one of the elders wives came up to me at church last night, and said very bluntly "Well, It didn't make any difference to me! I thought you already had been."
HA! Uhh, ok. thanks?
Ok, anyone out there ever do a fund raiser to raise big bucks?
I am trying to find one that can help this family that just lost their two year old daughter. They have exhausted all there finances and medical insurance and I want to come up with something that will help them. If you have any thoughts, please let me know
Silent auction. We did that for out band back in December. Go to local strip malls and see if they are wiling to donate anything. We had multi-hundred dollar worth guitars (three of them), salon gift cards, free food coupons, Chic-fil-a calendars, ect.
Silent auction is a good idea...if you can get good donation and auction items. In high school we raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for a new track with a silent auction.
This might not be BIG bucks, but when I was in a Mothers of Preschoolers group we used to have a garage sale every spring and fall. We took donations from everyone and we had tons of stuff. We usually ended up making $2,000. You need to have a lot of stuff though, and let people know that is going to a good cause! Good luck! I've tried to have a garage sale for karate the last two Thursdays and it has rained. I'm about to give up!
