one of the young ladies in our congregation asked me to get with her to make Valentines cards for some of the older people and the widows, she suggested that we then make cookies or candy to take to them but I know that several of them are diabetics sooooooooo give me some ideas of something else to give them or share a good sugar free cookie recipe with me.
When I was part of a homeschool group, we had all of the kids make Valentines and me and my girls delivered the Valentines personally to each person. I called before I went, but I got to know several of the older ladies and men where we attended. It was great! If you can afford it, you might look into a barbershop quartet for a special couple. Robert used to do this when we were in FL. The local chapters do it as a fund raiser. I does cost though, so not for everyone. Robert and I picked one person a year who was single and his quartet would sing to them. It was great. Just a thought Sheila
On December 20, 1985 in Louisville, Ky a beautiful baby girl was born to us and now 23 years later that baby is a beautiful young women and a wonderful wife to her husband and she is back in Louisville where it all began. Go over and wish her a Happy Birthday. Happy Birthday Krista, I love you.
Yes, Thanksgiving was good in Tennessee. Good food, family all at home, shopping on Friday, putting up the tree on Saturday, then ending with baking cookies and watching Santa Clause II, now let the Christmas season begin. Oh, and enjoy these pics.
