We had a great Thanksgiving. We all went to Larry and Rayna's home - they have a new home in Snohomish, beautiful!!!!. Larry's family was there also. The boys, Jamie and Brian were there. Shaunna, Aarons girlfriend, got to come by for an hour. The only one not there was Katie :( Well, this is the last year she will be away from us on the holidays, Mitchell was sad. We had a great lunch, and lots of pies, and played games. I love nothing more than being with my family. Then on Friday, Mitchell and Katie went house shopping. They invited me to come along, whooohooo. Donita is their agent, so it was good to visit with her. They looked Friday, Saturday, and yesterday and then made offers on 2 homes. Mitchell is approved for the loan and he wants a house so bad - he just cannot live in an apartment when they get married. It has been fun going with them and sharing in their adventure. Like I said, nothing is more valuable than family. Sometimes, I look back and wish I had appreciated them more as they were growing up, but it is hard when you are caught up in the moment of being mom. I'm thankful that I was able to stay home with them and homeschool them, so I had them as long as possible. I love it that their significant others like being around us.
lsanfordWow -- the Culp family always has soooo much going on! Do you have a current address for Rayna? Any day now I'm gonna get serious about some x-mas cards!

Ok, today I started physical therapy for my back. It was determined that I have 2 herniated disks. So the therapist and I will work together to strengthen the muscles surrounding the disks to hold them back in place and then it will all heal and I will once again be pain free - whooohooo!!! All of this because I went to a chiropractor. I am thankful that it can be fixed, without surgery and that I have medical insurance. I am also thankful that I do not have small children, so that I am able to take it easy until I have healed. I am much looking forward to being able to sit for a couple of hours at church. I so miss being there in class and Sunday morning worship. It is so unlike me to stay home all the time and not go out but maybe once a week. And actually, being in pain and them medicated, I don't miss going out. But I do look so forward to having a normal routine again.
goodetwoshoesThe chiro wasn't Dr.Brown, was it?! I'm glad you're on the mend with physical therapy. I'll pray it goes well. Yeah, nothing like feeling homebound and wishing you could get out. Makes you really appreciate everything more, especially worship services. Still wish I was there to hang out with you! Here's a hug from me...((((((BIG HUG))))))!!! :)
wathingyes it was - Jamie went to him once also and has a weird problem that wasn't there before. I know he has a good reputation, but obviously he wasn't good for Jamie or me. Thanks for the hug.
goodetwoshoesHe wasn't good for my dad either. That's too bad. Denny has an AWESOME chiropractor here that he has been seeing for the last 10 years. He does that touch for health/kinneseology (sp?) thing that Helen Williams does too. Tests and "cures" for allergies ane what not. He's great! I'm sorry! Feel better soon, ya sexy Ferrari you!! :)
lsanfordHey Roni -- if you have time tonight, send me a recipe for Merrill's recipe book. I don't think I've gotten the chance to chat with you about it at services, but hopefully you've seen the other emails and flyers about it. It just wouldn't be an "issy recipe book" without ya!
goodetwoshoes^Aww, can I be a part of the "issy recipe book"? :D
mistamjoGood morning!!! Wanted to say that to you yesterday when I saw you but didn't get over to you to you fast enough. So glad to see you, anyway.
lsanfordThank you for the recipe...although Jaci already submitted that one. So funny...I guess we've all be potlucking for long enough that we've come to cook the same food. =)
lsanfordAwesome -- I'll make sure it gets to Merrill so it can go into her book. Thanks!
lsanfordHey, I missed you today. I'm sorry your back is still screwed up. Hopefully this will be a good week for you. I'm off to Mazama this week, but I'm up for another shopping trip next week if you can come up with a list.

26th Anniversary 11-05-08 02:29pm PST
Bill and I were married on this day in 1982 - 26 years ago. I have been reflecting on the last 26 years and remembering all of life that has happened during that time. Having 5 children that are all now grown and at or above the age that we were when we met and married. I can still remember our meeting and dating like it was yesterday. We met on Sept. 11, which was my parents wedding anniversary. We dated for three weeks, and then he proposed. We married three weeks later. Maybe because it was such a short time of dating, or that it was such a whirlwind, that I am able to remember all the details. As with all marriages, there have been very good time, and very bad times. But we are still together, through thick and thin, for better or for worse. When you are young and want to get married, you really have no idea what an effort it is to stay married. I thank God for such a wonderful, understanding, caring, patient husband and for God giving me such a wonderful life.

Birthdays!!! 11-03-08 04:06pm PST
Today is my 51st bitthday. That is really a weird thing to say - that I am 51. Not sure if I like that. I liked being in my thirties and fourties, but to hit 50 is weird. I remember my mom at 50. Sometimes I feel 51 and sometimes I feel 41, wish I could feel 31 or 21, lots of energy. My family is all getting together tonight and taking me to dinner. I love all my kids. Family is all that really matters and to get them all in the same place at the same time is great.
rebeccabloomHAPPY BIRTHDAY MISS RONNETTE!!
lsanfordHappy birthday Roni! You looked like you were feeling better on Sunday. Hopefully so. See you soon.

Update - thanks for asking 10-23-08 07:54pm PST
Thanks for asking, you guys. I am limited on what I can do. Having to take it easy. The swelling is gone, and now the disks and nerves have to heal. I go back to the doc on Monday to re-evaluate my meds. I've noticed if I am on my feet too long or sitting straight up to long, then the pain comes back. Bill has been running all my errands, (grocery shopping which isn't his favorite). The boys are helping the best they can. Basically, I've been doing laundry and dinner. Everyone has been helping with the cleanup, mostly Bill. I think this has to be hard on him, cause he is really out of his element. But we are hanging in there. Melia, you are such a goof. Is that all you could think of to have Lisa bring you - soup? :)
goodetwoshoesha ha! Well, no, actually now that you mention it, I am craving a nice juicy steak!! :) Throw in some garlic mashed potatoes, steamed asparagus and brownies! Mmmm, now we're talking! You're right, what was I thinking?!! I actually made my own chicken and rice soup for dinner tonight. Yes from scratch! It was really yummy and very filling. Hardly any leftovers! I guess that's why I had soup on the brain.

Glad you're doing some better. Don't over do it!! Let the men share the load, it's good for them. They'll appreciate you more once you're back to doing it all yourself again! :)

Love ya! :)
wathingnow that's what I'm talking about!!! Think I am craving the same thing, especially if someone else would cook it :)
goodetwoshoeshey, are you going trick-or-treating this year? :D I think Denny is taking Rach and Rain while Bec and I stay here to pass out candy. It's getting too cold to be out at night! I'll just never forget the year you fell over Ellie and broke your tooth! Ouch! Thanks for the memories!! :)
lsanfordHey, don't forget you owe me a list!
wathingnot trick or treating this year - first - can't walk around that long; second - don't have anyone to go with anyway; and third - haven't forgotten the tooth :) Instead I'll just find a scary movie to watch.
