Mas computer 11-04-08 11:07pm CST
.....pero mucho homework and getting ready for this weekend!

So I was without a computer for a few days...it felt kinda good because I didn't have to rely on technology. But, I also couldn't get on to take care of homework or do planning. Since John and I are about to get married and I really needed a computer for my online classes, we decided to make our first "big buy" together and bought a computer yesterday. I love it!! It's very nice and wasn't too terribly expensive! I had to put it on my credit card though. I was stressed about the money, but this is something we both really need and I know that God will find a way for us to where we won't have to struggle financially. Instead of taking full-time courses next semester again, I may end up going part-time and getting a part-time job for a little bit....at least until we can get settled and all that.

Anyway,it's been a very long week with planning and I still have more homework to do before Saturday! Crazy week! We got our marriage license today!!!!!

So, I'll have to keep my blogs short for a while. I just wanted to let everyone know that I do have a computer now. :-)

Take care
Future Mrs. Young

No mas computer 11-03-08 11:28am CST
My second and last computer finally decided to give out on me so I am without a computer for a while. Not too sure how well that will pan out since all of my classes are online. This will be interesting. Anyway, I probably won't be online for a while....not having a computer PLUS John and I are finally getting married this week!!!!! We will see most of you Wednesday, God willing. But, won't see ya'll for a little while because we will be leaving for our honeymoon after the wedding. Dominican Republic here we come!

Hopefully we'll have a new computer soon. See ya'll soon.

Love,
Future Mrs. Young

Things and such 10-29-08 08:31am CST
Just an update on how things have been going. Everything has been very mad crazy busy! :-) Juggling school and wedding plans at the same time is a lot harder than I expected. Plus adding in regular daily life. Anyway, there are only 10 days left until John and I finally get married! We're both very excited but also a bit nervous because we don't know what marriage is going to be like exactly. We don't know what it will feel like and all that but we can't wait to experience it and spend the rest of our lives together.

Just a note I wanted to share with everyone to answer a question we've been asked by some: We would love to have EVERYONE attend our wedding because we would love to share this joyous occasion with all of you. But, because of the ridiculous amount of money that weddings cost, we had to cut back on the amount of people we could invite. Our wedding is actually going to be very simple - we didn't want all the thousands of details that tend to cause stress. But even though it's going to be a simple wedding, it is still going to cost quite a bit. We were only able to invite family and a few of our friends. We really hope everyone understands. Trust me, I would be so thrilled to see everyone I love so dearly from all over the world at our wedding to enjoy our marriage vows being exchanged. But, finances just won't allow it. :-(

John and I have been talking about possibly trying to get a get-together set up soon after we return from our honeymoon to maybe have a pot-luck or something like that because we really do want all of our Christian family to be a part of our celebration. But, we're not sure yet if we can set that up because many people will be busy or going out of town I'm sure since it's so close to Thanksgiving and the holidays. But, we just wanted to make sure everyone knew that we were thinking of them and wish all could attend.

Anyway, so about how life is going....we have almost everything taken care of for the wedding plans. We just have to make a final decision on a cake topper; still have to pick out all of the music for the wedding and reception; and I still have to make a final decision on hair and makeup. John's mom and my sister-in-law (brother's wife) both said they could do my makeup. Plus, we have all the odds and ends to take care of (aisle runner, lighters for the sparklers, etc.). In between all of the planning, we've also been participating in Bible studies (between ourselves and with others), taking the pre-marital sessions, me doing homework and trying to get ahead so I don't have to worry about homework on the honeymoon, and both of us working out to try to keep in shape. We really haven't had much time to do the outdoor things we normally like to do (caving, climbing, jet skiing, etc.) because we've been so swamped with the planning. We are really looking forward to being married so we can get back to the normal routine and be a married couple at the same time! :-)

After we get married, we also are planning on trying to get more involved with our Christian family outside of church. The only time we see them is when we're worshiping at church. But, we have decided that we really need those influences outside of church too. It just makes it so difficult with both of us living so far away from everyone (I recently moved to the south side of the lake and he's on the southeast). It really does help to have positive encouragement both inside and outside of church.

Well that just about sums up the majority of what's been going on. Oh - one more thing. I just looked at the extended forecast and it said there's a strong possibilty for rain next Thursday and scattered showers on Friday (the day before our wedding). PLEASE pray that it won't be muddy and won't rain on our wedding day (it will be outside). We all know that forecasts can be erroneous most of the time. But, I don't like the sound of even a slight possibility of rain. :-(

That's all for now.
Take care and may God watch over you

Future Mrs. Young

P.S = still working on it, but you can check out this website if you want: www.mywedding.com/AngelaAndJohn
littlebitty624hang in there! where are y'all going for your honeymoon?? we still haven't really taken one!
audgeI completely understand about not being able to invite everyone...Josh and I are doing the same thing. I hate that not everyone can come but it just costs too much $$$$$ :)
csusoftballgirlWOW! Is it really only 10 days away? How exciting!
csusoftballgirlDon't feel bad about a short wedding list! With all the people that love you, it's just impossible to have everyone there and everyone should understand that. I love your commitment to getting more involved with the Christian family. What a blessing the church is!
h_hill13im so happy for yall. no worries about the guest list. im sure everyone understands. it's nice to keep it small too. we'll have some sort of shower for you guys at some point maybe when you're settled in. i'm glad you enjoyed the shower... i did too. we do have a wonderful Christian family- there isn't anything better.
rachaelJust don't freak out if it does rain. It rained as i was driving to my wedding 3 hours before it started and it was still beautiful and Hott!!! lol But there are prayers here. It is a day to remember. It sounds like things are stresssful but working out. And when i see you in just a couple weeks you will no longer be unmarried and I am so very happy for you. Good Luck.

3 weeks 10-18-08 11:50am CST
Im 3 weeks I will no longer bear the last name of a boring color! I will bear the last name of a wonderful characteristic that I will get to keep for the rest of my life! :-) Even better is that I get to keep the man associated with that last name forever! I didn't realize how long this could drag on until our wedding day! We are both ready and can't wait to join in a Christian marriage! :-) Please continue to pray for our happiness and our continued focus on God.
wacaseyYou call this dragging?!?
