James 1:17- "Every good thing bestowed and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow."
Work is good and I enjoy most every day with the patients. Some days are so crazy and exhausting, but it's worth it! I am so thankful to have a job just anyway!
Still trying to sell the house. Anyone know of a family/person in need of a house in North Florida? Let me know! We would love to sell it asap so we could buy a house or get an apartment up here! Its nice that Mom and Dad don't mind us staying with them, but we really need our own space. Please keep that in your prayers! Thanks!
Please pray too that everything goes well with the inauguration of our new president and that the country stays at peace within itself... and that the economy gets better, if it's the Lord's will. Maybe America needs to go back to harder times to get it's priorities straight. They are not straight now and maybe that's what we need. Hopefully not, but we just don't know what God has in His plan.
Hang in there everyone and stay strong. Give thanks for the family, friends, and brethren that you have around you. We are very blessed. Love you all!
Hey sweetie, glad your job's going well. I agree with you about America. Was just talking with someone at the school yesterday about how many are. But you're so right, we just need to leave things in God's hands and trust Him.
I am in the laundry mat doing laundry and it is very interesting. I haven't ever been to one I guess. New experiences. I had a lot to wash. And they have internet! Who knew?
Jobs are going well, despite the layoffs at the Medical Center. They didn't cut any nurses that do patient care, which is what I do, only the directors and the high-ups. That is good but some good people left unfortunately. We'll be in transition for a while with all of the "cost-cutting" going on. Oh well. I love my job.
Just thought I'd update since I had a few minutes of not being able to do much of anything else except be on the computer. I can't believe it's almost the end of the year...AGAIN! I feel like time is just flying by and there is so much to be done and so much I want to do and accomplish! Ah! Let me know what's going on with you and what you're doing. Jason and I just got back from a weekend of tent camping. It was a blast if you've never tried it. You should.
Well, my loads are almost done and now I must face the large dryers. Hopefully I can stuff it all in one. haha.
Take care and keep the faith. The darker the world gets the brighter we shine. Love you all.
Kathleen Trigg was tenting not long ago. Thought they'd done all the weather proofing necessary. Rained hard the first night. Everything got soaked. The next night they moved to the cabin. Glad you & Jason had a good time. Missed you Sunday. Glad your job's not in jeopardy.
I love u guys n miss u 2! im sorry just been kinda down here latly and Ive been really busy with school, but I promise I will try harder 2 call u more HUGS!!!!! luv u!
Work is going very well. I am very blessed to have a great job (much less one at all in these times!), great co-workers, a great boss, and a great hospital to work in. It's going very well and I feel quite at home on my floor.
Living in Warner Robins is still going well. It's strange living with Mom and Dad again, being married and all this time. Hopefully, we can sell our house and find a place here pretty soon. Please be praying for that. Thanks.
Speaking of being married, we are still doing super and I love being married to my best friend. It's right at two years and I don't know where the time has gone. So strange. We've been through so much, but it's all good.
Thought I'd give an update. Hope all is well with you guys. Oh, and some great news to share....my sister-in-law, Kaila was baptized last night. Rejoice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We are in Warner Robins now. We left Jennings kinda in a hurry, not purposely, but it just happened it seems like. I feel like we are on vacation still but I'm sure it will sink in when I get a job and we get a place of our own. If anyone knows of anybody that needs a house in North Florida, please let me know! It'd be great to sell it but sad as well. *sigh*
I don't really know what to say to Jason's post. He is absolutely amazing and I am so blessed to have him. We have had the best almost 2 years I could have asked for even though we've been through some hard times with family. We've learned though that hard times either bring people closer or drive them apart. It has definitely brought us so much closer to God and to each other. We had to rely on God and each other because we couldn't get through those times alone. I am thankful for the avenue of prayer and for God's scripture that is available to us all of the time as well as my sweet and understanding husband. God has blessed me very much.
I wish you all could know the joy that Jason brings to my life, with his laugh and his little looks, that little wink and a smile, his strength and wisdom (haha, yes, he's always been wiser), and many other admirable traits. I am a blessed woman to be able to spend each day with him and to grow closer to him and to our Lord. What an amazing thing that God created when he made man and woman and marriage. I am so sad that more people don't know what it really can be and how it the word "marriage" is drug through the mud (so to speak) all too often. I could go on forever. If you're not married, grow closer to God and the church that He died for, and if you are married do the same and it will make you closer to your spouse. Amazing how that works, isn't it?
Also, as an end note, I have learned that trials really DO make us stronger and that's how you grow. I am a stronger person today than I was a year ago and I am thankful for the trials that we went through to get there. That sounds crazy, but I wouldn't have grown and changed if I hadn't been forced to by trials. Thank God when trials come because that's when you grow and build character and grow closer to Him.
Ok, I'm done...almost. We are starting fresh in Warner Robins and we are very excited. The church here is great and it's good to be back where I grew up, even though it was hard to leave the church in Florida. But it's good to know they're still there, doing the Lord's work even while we are here in WR. Jason got a super job as a supervisor in Macon...I am so proud of him! I had 3 interviews this week and I am pretty sure that I will be working in Labor and Delivery/Family Birth Center in Macon. I'm pretty excited about it. We shall see though.
Love you all and sorry for the long post. When i DO post, I really have a problem with my fingers just going crazy.
Lucky mommies and babies... I just love you so much and am glad to be around you more. When I look back and see the little baby you were and now to see the beautiful (inside and out), mature, poised, and priceless young woman you are - makes me want to shed tears (as I am...) but happy tears - Love you!

hey Lori, I heard you guys were back in WR. Good luck with all that! And I think you hit the nail on the head regarding trials and the outcome they produce. Tell everyone back there hey for me. :)

So, I realize that I have not written in a long time.
So much has happened that I cannot even begin to describe what all has happened in the past 6-8 months. I can't believe it's already the end of January. Time is flying.
Well, I am starting a new job. I am no longer going to be working for the family business. I will be working at the hospital in Valdosta as an RN finally. I am very excited but nervous too. Please keep me in your prayers (if anyone even visits my blog anymore!)
Jason and I are doing well and enjoying being married still. He recently took a new job as well, so there is a lot of change going on. He loves it though and it is good for us. We are growing up and making hard decisions. I'm glad that I have him and we have God together. It makes all the difference in the world.
Hope everyone else is doing well and that your new year is starting off smoothly. Love to you all!
Hey my dear! I went to L'ville to see Paul & Sharon last Thurs. I wrote about it on my site. With working, did you get to visit with your parents much this week? Did your dad tell you about the storm's damage to my fence & roof? He repaired them in no time. Hope your job is going well. Love you!
Hi Lori & Jason! It was so good to see you and worship with you Sunday. And another wonderful surprise last night at the meeting - Lisa walks in with your parents. Seeing all of you in the same week - yay!
