The college life is SO different, but I LOVE it!! I'm attending Crown College in Minnesota and believe it or not I HATE the cold!!! haha idk why I picked to come all the way to Minnesota, but sometimes where God calls us isn't our choice always. I do love Minnesota despite the cold weather. I've made some amazing friends and really enjoyed my time here so far!
I can't believe that Christmas is SO close!! Finals are coming up and then after that Christmas break!! I only get two weeks, but that's alright with me. I really missed all my friends while I was gone for Thanksgiving back home. I decided the weekend before Turkey Day that I'd come home. It ended up working out and I had a pretty fun time. It hasn't snowed too much here well anything that's stayed for very long at least. I'm excited for a big snow since I've never lived in a place where it snows hardly at all!!! Crazy I know....my view is that if it's going to be cold outside then it might as well snow!!! Otherwise the cold can leave!! haha
Anyways I hope things out in this pleonast world are going alright!! I haven't been on here in ages!! It's crazzzzyyyy!!! Hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas!! I just love listening to Christmas music and all the cool things that come along with this holiday. It's by far my favorite!! =)
So here it is...the end of January and I can't believe it!! It seems like yesterday summer '07 was just ending and I was waiting for Christmas. Now it's 2008 and time has just flown by!!! I am making plans for what I will be doing this summer already and next year!!! It's insane!!!! I am really excited to see what the Lord has planned for me this summer!! I really believe this summer is going to be awesome!! I will say the transition from 2007 to 2008 was slightly difficult just seeing as my grandfather passed away unexpectedly on 12-29-07 which has been hard. I got to see all of my family and for the first time in probably 15 years if not 20 years every single family member on my mom's side was together. It was sad it had to be at a funeral, but hopefully good things will come out of it.
My friends have been great!! The Lord's really blessed me with people who care for me and it's wonderful!! I praise Him for them regularly!!
I got a Nanday Conure Parrot named Suzie McQ, last Wednesday and she's just awesome!!! She's really sweet and when I hold her she gives me kisses on my cheek!!! ♥ I have been spending all my time with her when I'm at the house. She has to stay in the guesthouse because Rusty (my dog) has a fit if she's in the regular house. He guards the litter we have in the bottom of our cage, which is quite funny. lol She likes to be fed and loves looking at herself in mirrors. We actually had to take out the ones we had in her cage because she wouldn't let us hold her. She would guard the mirror and try and "free" the other bird in there by biting it. hehe
That's basically the update from my place...how has everything been going for you all?? I know I'm not on here very much, but I try to get on periodically. I quite like blogging if I'm in the mood! :) Have a great night!
ah! i hope you get to come tomorrow! it's so funny. since we only have one home game...everyone is like (2 months ago) "u have a homegameon jan 24th right?" i think pretty much everyone i know is gonna be there tomorrow! :)
aww! thanx! i'm really hoping that everything will go fantastic in florida...and yes, the "graffics" are pretty much amazing if i do say so myself! lol, yeppers, i had alotta fun @ ur house...has ur bird come out yet? i found out that yes, ur parrot can lay an egg but it will not be fertilized (or however the heck that's spelled...lol) just thought i'd let u kno!!
So I have THE BEST news!!! When I went to Guatemala my dad and I became close with our Guatemalan translator (the main one), he is my big brother and I miss him a lot!!!!! (he's 34 yrs old lol)...so anyways he sent me an e-mail to day and has been trying to get a visa to come to the states ever since we were in Guate. His e-mail said that he has an appointment with the Northamerican Embassy down there on Nov. 7th and will most likely get a visa to come here!!!!!!!!!!!!! They don't ask you to come to the embassy unless they're goin' to give you a visa (because he's had them on and off and applied for them a few times before). I am stoked beyond belief and I cannot wait for him to come here!!!!! He will probably come for Christmas or maybe even Thanksgiving too!!! But most definitely Christmas!!!!!!! I am SO happy and can't wait to see him!!!! :) We've been praying about it and I know my dad is excited about him coming too.
In other news....on Sunday I am going to get to see one of my BEST FRIENDS who I met when I was down the in Dominican Republic. She was the summer intern when I went in 2006, and it was soo cool when we found out we lived really close to each other. So we're goin' down to Nashville to Opry Mills and go shopping for a few hours...then we're meeting up with one of my other friends who lives in Nashville, JT who's bringing his room-mate and maybe a few other friends too...we're goin' to eat at the Hard Rock Cafe!!!! I am sooooo excited!!!! I haven't seen Kimberly since March when she came up and stayed with me, and I haven't seen JT since July!! Also, Kimberly might come for Thanksgiving too and that would be SO AMAZING!!!!!! hehe
So those are my wonderful things that are happening. Also I am slowly but surely getting caught up with my school. My parents said I had to be by Sunday (to see Kim & JT) so I've been working hard! Thanks for all the prayers!! I appreciate it!! Oh and thanks to Tabs for all the comments on here....I love ya girl!! ♥
