Break 12-27-08 12:29pm EST

Well I'm super happy it's break, and I think i actually might have pulled off my exams (or so i hope). Christmas was fun. I got a jacket I wanted and a vera bradely backpack (cambridge print) and a mini camcorder. (then a bunch of smaller things) but those were my favorite. It was fun =] I got another haircut, ick lol Margie says it doesnt look any different, but personally I just think she wasn't paying attention because two inches got chopped off! =[ but anyways haha how was everyone else's christmas?

margie

It doesn't look any different! it's like mine! No different!

margie

Being like mine meaning no different.

justg

You guys need 'hairapy."

cecile

I'm sure your hair looks great! I must say that two inches doesn't qualify as "chopped off". ;)

sunnyd

What a week 12-11-08 04:00pm EST

Finally home and sooooo happy. That was one of the worst weeks ive ever had. Dad and I got food poisioning, and dad got over it quickly but i didnt. I also just got sick so I feel disgusting. Things are a mess there, my body feels wrecked, i've missed 6 days of school, 7 games, and I'm gonna miss more. sigh life's crazy

franksinatra

So sorry for everything :( Food poisoning is TERRIBLE just by itself (I still can't go to Checkers), not including the rest of the awful week. Hope it gets better!

sunnyd

Well, let's hope you are on an upward trajectory!

justg

The good thing is...that was then, this is now! Here's hoping the week will just get better. I'm sorry for your troubling patch.

cecile

Merry Christmas!

Rainy Days... 11-15-08 04:55pm EST

Last weekend, we had two games on our off days... icky. The first game was against Leesburg, and Tay and I played jv. That was a horrible game, by the end of it I was sobbing and bleeding in three different places, and had bruises surfacing everywhere. And I only got out the last two minutes. It was rough... but we did win, and Tay scored =] Varsity's game was awful too because two of our girls got red cards (they happened to be two of our best players). One girl got 6 weeks suspension, and the other three weeks. Which really hurt our team. They kinda deserved them tho because they kicked players when they were on the ground, but the other team was throwing kidney punches, and grabbing all over them... and to top it off the refs were really biased and wouldnt call anything for us either games... they still won though, but Fritz made them run sprints after the game. On Tuesday we played Lake Weir, and tay and I played varsity. We were supposed to kill them by half time, but we fouled around, so at half time Fritz started yelling at us... and then 2nd half, we were going hard, and we had possesion running to the ball. Carolyn and the keeper were half way to the ball, and they both rushed it.... the keeper slamed into Carolyn's knee, and she dislocated her knee cap. It was hanging way down her leg, and Ive never heard anyone scream that loud or that long in my life. It took them thirty or more minutes to get the ambulance there. And then they couldnt move her because she was going hysterical and went into shock, and the morphine wasnt working. She screamed a looooong time. They made us finish the game tho. Then the ref gave Megan a yellow card because she encroched on a free kick, which was bogus cause thats not a yellow card play, and he was grinning when he gave it to her! She was so upset, that was a horrible game. Afterwards Fritz was crying because we were all mad at each other, and we didnt play well, and he said we had to start our season right then, no more of this, and he was talking about how he got so much crap from all the other school's because we're the district champs, and we were embarrassing him and ourselves... it was dramatic. But on those two games, we lost three girls :/ Monday we play Trinity, so we have to work hard.

We got our sweats, and I got smalls... and you can still fit two of me in them! and my hoodie's a small too, and it's HUGE. It could fit my dad... but they're pretty cute. They're gray and say varsity in purple down the leg, and the sweatshirt says varsity in the middle of a soccer ball and says Gainesville High School Soocer 08-09. We also got our other shirts, and they're navy with red and white letters that say GHS across the front, and on the back they say our last name and numbers. And we're gonna get Tmber Wolf long sleeve shirts, so we have a ton of shirts lol but it's fun.

Last night Tay, mom, dad, Maggs, and I went and watched the NCAA tournement with UCF playing Miami... UCF's goalie is 5'3 and she has a serious vertical. She's the best in the state. That was pretty entertaining. UCF won, which was sweet.

Tay spent the night last night, and we made some t-shirts haha. and we watched a bunch of movies, and ate a whole thing of chips-ahoy... we're such fatties ;) actually not really, from running so much I've been losing more weight, not that i need to, but oh well. Now i'm just sitting here, listening to music, and I studied and did some outlining.

Hope everyone had a good week =]

sunnyd

You may have to put those sweats in the dryer... or gain a few pounds. :)

justpeachy

Wash them in hot water and throw them in the dryer on high, unless they are just the right length(in which case take them to a seamstress)

Havent posted in a long time.... 11-09-08 08:19pm EST

Nothing much new happening... soccer everyday, getting beat up... same ole stuff... I cant wait til the other four girls who are supposed to come do, so I dont have to play jv anymore and stop getting beat up! Tay and I are by far the best (not trying to brag, but it's true). We're just helping them out til they get more players, but it's really frustrating cause I want to be jut varsity, and not die during games. 80 mins is a long time to try and hold the team together. Hardly any of them know their positions, they dont listen, they cant start a kick off, they follow Tay and I around asking what to do, they're off in lala land half of the time, and they never play the ball, they just try to kill each other. Anyways... enough about that.

Lena left on Friday... and made it back to Germany safely, so that was good. Things finally seem to be getting better... Last week was horrible and i was soooo happy when it ended, and then I saw Brian and it made it all better =]

We had a team sleepover, and we tye-dyed some shirts we ordered, and they look cool. It was a lot of fun, stayed up really late, and got to miss Friday... so i'm having a 5 day weekend :p

My last year in Little League baseball I was the only 12 year old, there was one 11 year old, the rest of the team was 8. I was moved from my natural position at third base to shortstop and was basically expected to cover the infield. I was also told to take all cutoffs from the out field, even those from right field. (That might not make much sense if you don't know baseball, sorry.) I understand how you feel about your JV team. It can be tough, but look on the bright side -- for one year at least you get to be the superstar. You are the team leader, the best there is, the player the other team worries about. That can be awesome. There is no better feeling in baseball than to walk up to the plate and see the pitcher turn around and wave his outfielders back. I sure you are experiencing the same sort of thing during your JV games. Enjoy it while it lasts. Most people don't get to experience it even in lower level sports. Have fun with it, and take out your frustrations on the other team. :)

sunnyd

Sorry things have been so rough. Hopefully it will turn around soon.

The good news :) 10-22-08 08:49pm EST

So this year I made varsity/jv so Im a dual player... but mainly varsity. Im gonna get lettered and I play double games, so it should be fun. Fritz told Tay and I that he wants us to dominate the jv games and score a ton of goals, and next yr we'll be varsity starters. :) exciting! I'm number 14 this yr (Brian's number =]) Our first two games are next tuesday against Swannee. I'm exited :) But, it's already bad because my knees are hurting already, and I jarred it today while shooting :/ Brian said his brother had the same problem I do, and by the end of hs he couldnt run anymore... so that worries me, but I still love it...

Other than practice and hw... nothing that new happened. oh! My family and I are hosting a German student for three weeks. Her name is Lena. She's pretty cool.

Have a good week! =]

stampergirl

Yes, I am very concerned about how all of this soccer is going to affect you later in life myself.

sunnyd

Oh, my knees are hurting just hearing about yours!! Hang in there girl! Does "joint juice" work? I have seen it sold by the case in Costco. Curious. Have fun with your foreign student. I am sure you will both learn so much these next few weeks.

iamyourfather

So that's who was with you in class! Aha!
