Nope, not another car. Why is that everyone's first response? :) This one is a long time coming... a new macbook pro. 15" widescreen 2.5g. Jenny gets a discount through sony... she offered, so i pounced on the chance to get a good deal. It came in friday and i've already got the adobe creative suite loaded. Can't beat that new laptop smell!
Don't crash it like Lindsey. She has crashed two macbook hard drives. We thought they were like rubbermaid not crashable. Ask her how many cars she has crashed and then ask her how many computers she has crashed.
Ouch. That is harsh. Yes I crash them, but only my personal computer. I didn't once crash my work computer so I really think that it isn't me but it's my computer. But yeah, I had the guy at the genius bar tell me that maybe I should get a P.C. Jerk.
I know, I know...I've definitely run out of gas before, but I at least can identify that problem pretty quickly. :) This was a whole new ballgame. I have the best luck ever. :)
...of course it happens to me..lol but displacing or delaying the irritation helps long enough to usually keep me from blasting someone..lol you can vent anytime you wish...=)
people are over-the-top annoying. they do things that just really get on my nerves. is it just me or is it really distracting when someone snorts over and over during church? just go blow your nose and quit! i'm not talking about being sick...the certain person i'm referring to was a smoker... possibly still does, so i'd venture a guess that's probably part of it. he's been doing this constantly for years. if you can't kick the cold or the habbit, there's drugs for both.
negativity is what i got.
in the spirit, what are some things that really annoy you? i know i'm not the only one. am i?
You know there are a lot of things that are annoying to a lot of people. It is what you decide to do with it. God often uses sources of irritataion to build His character in us. Just a little something to think about.
Bottomline usually is...Would Jesus snort, snark repetitively while worship to his/our Father is going on? I agree that "turning a deaf ear or turning the other cheek" is what those who are annoyed by the ill mannered events, however we are to strive to improve ourselves and using one's manners is an outward show of what is in one's heart. Manners are used so as not to offend others when in a public setting. =) Longsuffering, understanding, common sense, common courtesy towards one's neighbor in treating them as one's self are all part of a christian's character and characteristics.
Why do some people have to make little things a big deal? I'm not talking about petty stuff. I understand people make mistakes and are sometimes uninformed about the way something is done.
When something becomes the "norm" it seems that it almost always becomes the "standard" eventually. Just because someone doesn't dress the same as everyone else doesn't make one bit of difference. There is no way to know the person's soul. God knows. That's all that matters. I understand that in the assembly at church you are expected to dress your best, but not everyone has the same wardrobe... or paycheck to afford what many deem "best". It really gets under my skin when people start using the word "appropriate" in regard to what one wears (at church or elsewhere).
My brother was driven away from leading singing and participating in the assembly by a comment on what someone thought he should wear. I don't blame him for the way he reacted. (he never participated again) That's probably not the best way to handle it, but it seems that some don't take into account what others deem "appropriate".
very true... but i also think we should dress like we would if we were attending a funeral, as generally people tend to dress in their nicest clothes when attending a memorial service for a loved one. so i think we should try our best to reflect our respect for worship services in the same manner. or if you were going to be going on a first date. there's no denying we are a visual society. and sometimes people may not have tact when making suggestions, which may have been the case with your bro....?
I'm sure that the poor woman who gave her last two mites, dressed in her better, if she even had a "better"..attitude is judged by our fruits according to the Lord. Opinion can be true or false, but it can be right if fashioned in accord with the Word of God. I'm wondering, as Amanda, has already stated...what gives in the pew department?? Does sound like somethings up? Besides, I always thought it would be posh if we could have some really nice car benches to sit on rather than those hardwoods with some sort of skinny padded covering that is the "norm" ...lol I mean we could make the seats framed in wood somehow to make it look nice. lol None of us remember when people used to "dress" for riding or driving or dinner or and outing, etc...they must have had more clothes than ever back then. lol
the incident with my brother occured several years back... the person who got on to him about wearing a tie to lead sining isn't a member there anymore.
I think it's ridiculous that men wear suits and ties. John the baptist would probably never be able to stop laughing if he ever saw our ridiculous customs. Seriously, what in the world is the point of a tie? It serves no purpose except to inhibit breathing.
John's clothes were made of camel's hair, and he had a leather belt around his waist. His food was locusts and wild honey." Matthew 3:4
Just when i didn't think i'd see another car like my dad's this happens....
Two more identical '56 crown vics. Same color. Cell phone pics suck, but if you know my dad you can tell that's him on the right in front of his car... the mustache & cap never lie!
Looks pretty decent in the pics! Now he's got me printing a million pictures.
rofl...they are really awesome! Reminds me of all the mini coops in Italian Job...the numerous amount of them made everyone want one!! These are soooo cool!! Thanks for sharing!
...NOoooo No! There was NOT comparison...it was only the fact that there were more than just one in a picture together that made me remember that movie....these are much prettier and cooler!! lol Welcome!
Cool pics! Hey, if you ever hear of a car show let me know. I'd love to take the boys. I've been out of the "car club" loop for a long time, and I don't really hear of any shows anymore. (except for Auto Rama, which we are usually out of town deer hunting!)
Since you are a car buff...I figure you would know, so please tell me, of all the cars made current and past what car is the end all be all of vehicles, and why?
Jason shot the doe. He had Preston in the stand and he really wanted him to. She was a nice size; 107 live weight. He has to shoot 4 so she was a good one!
Took a long weekend last week and got to visit Jen up in Nashville. As always it was tons of fun. We drove out to Chattanooga and went to the state aquarium. I also got to ride down the famous incline railroad... I'll say that it was steep, but not very exciting. Don't think we got over 5 mph. What a rip off!
We had some great food, and sights were to behold everywhere I turned. Other than a flat tire, we had no problems. All i can say is that tom-tom gps is a life saver! Pics coming.
once I had the proper tools, my flat changing abilities could rival those of most NASCAR pit crews. I didn't even have a jack, I had to hold the truck up with one arm and change the tire with the other...
It's just as beautiful as when I was last there...in Tenn that is! LOL You two make an awesome couple! =) Smashing photo's Ole Chap!! Simply smashing!!
That's pretty funny! The mental picture I got was pretty awesome. No, I don't know why I wanted to milk a cow so badly. It is just one of those things that I've wanted to do for a while. My grandparents were dairy farmers so it just feels like I should. I don't know. I might be making things up now. :)
