Irving Benson and Jessie Carter were married on October 24 in the church. So ends a friendship that began in their school days.

Been meaning to tell you that your sermon was very good. I heard Sewell say one time that when he was very young, he thought that if he had really great "overhead transparencies" that he would be a great preacher but he soon learned those things were not the things that made you a good preacher.
