Well....all of the news networks are calling this a historic night. I certainly have to agree with them there. A night in which an ultra liberal democrat who may not have even been born in our country was elected our commander in chief in nearly landslide fashion. A night in which the conservative portion of this country lost not only the presidential nomination but also seats in both the house and senate.
Abby and I are considering moving to Canada, although it has been suggested that we look at moving to a remote island somewhere. Others in my family have mentioned Australia. I'm not sure where we will end up, but we are definitely looking at our options :-P Ok...so we probably won't be moving, but wow....this is really scary guys!
Well....I better stop typing before I say something I shouldn't. Pray for our country.
Just don't move toooo far away because I need to see my grandkids often. You think this is the "first" president that Americans have looked to the future in gloom. Hardly. Take care. Things will work out even if you don't see it at first or even the near future. Things will show themselves out soon enough. Smile. :)
Start figuring out how you want to approach getting Republicans back in Congress in 2 years. The filing date for those folks is NOT that far off... And I want Palin back, personally.
I thought about moving to Alaska, but when things get tough, people in the world (i.e., LA and TX) are going to need us Christians more than ever! Hang in there!
Can I come with you?? I'll be your...uh...well, you don't have kids, so you don't need a housekeeper (YET hehehehe)....hmn...how about I just be your kid sister tagging along as a third wheel??
We have had lots of it over the past two weeks. First it was Hurricane Gustav that dumped a bunch on us. We evacuated to my parents' house for that one. Then it was Ike. We went to her grandparents' house for him. Although, as a little birdy (aka my wife) just told me, maybe Ike is a her. Anyone want to take a guess as to what female name Ike is short for? Ichy? Ikelandria? Do any of you have female friends that are nicknamed Ike? Just wondering.... I personally do not, but if one of you can produce legitimate proof that you know of a female named/nicknamed Ike, I owe my wife an apology.
Anyway....with Ike we lost power for a couple of days....just long enough for all the food to spoil in the fridge/freezer. Grocery shopping is on the list for tomorrow. LC in general weathered the storm pretty well....half the town didn't even lose power, although many low-lying areas did have substantial flooding.
Married life is good. I don't have to cook my own meals anymore and she doesn't have to mow the grass anymore....oh wait...yeah she does. :-P It isn't slave labor, honest! :) I love my wife very much and she is a very hard worker :) All I do is sell stuff....she has to clean stuff, cut stuff, paint stuff, cook stuff, etc. etc. etc. and she doesn't even get paid!
There is more that could be written but my head hurts and I'm tired. Good night all.
look i found one!! http://www.vibesconnect.com/eki (i'm pretty sure there's nothing offensive on that website, but be careful...i just yahoo'd it and that's what it came up with)
we didn't get any damage from hurricane ike my husbands family did but the family is ok so i'm thankful for that we came back last sunday and yeah... read my blog glad your loving married life.... remeber she might know directions better than you ... we had that problem last weekend when we left for the hurricane .... lol
Ike was late Dwight David Eisenhower's nickname. I don't think it's a girls name at all. And Sherrel (who is sick right now--see my post) called it a himmacane.
we didn't get a time share, but we went to a presentation on our honeymoon to get discounted seaworld tickets and a 3 day 2 night stay in the future or something, but i think that might have expired...i should check that...
Hey everybody!
I just got back from a nice long, relaxing vacation in San Antonio. It was really nice! Six flags was alot of fun as was Sea World. We also enjoyed many other things that San Antonio had to offer. Oh yeah....I said we....that's right...I almost forgot to mention....I went on this wonderful vacation with my WIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As most of you already know, I married the girl of my dreams on Friday, August 8th. The ceremony was nice and short and the reception went by really fast, but the important part, my wife, will never go away.
You know how the spouse is often called "the better half"? Well....I sure did good, because now "half" of me is good looking! :) That sure is an improvement from before! :-P
Well...if you want/need more info, you can check abby's blog in the next few days or you can check mine in the next few weeks. :-P
Until next time...
The husband of Mrs. Abigail Renee Frazier
sorry, haven't seen the barefooted bride pic but I totally understand the concept. By the time the wedding is over most every woman in attendance would love to throw her shoes into the nearest dumpster.
Excuse me! You are one very handsome gentleman... now it's perfectly fine for Abby to be the pretty one but you stand your ground as the other half of a very good looking couple. But remember, it's not the outer beauty that's important and I've seen the inner beauty in both of you.
actually, i was wanting everybody to think it's this rapper named chris brown, but the other day i had met this little white kid who just happened to be named chris brown, so i decided to have some fun with it!
I think it was announced that about 40% lost power, but so much is under water right now. The lake is surrounding the civic center and all in that area of town.
Only two weeks until me and her become husband and wife! The days are flying by and crawling along at the same time. That's all the news, but isn't that enough?!?!?!
I loves you, too! hehe! It's about time you updated. I thought you had fallen off the face of the earth. But, no, there you are. Take care of my little girlie! **Sniff, Sniff!**
Well, after nearly 3 1/2 long years, I officially graduated with a degree in finance with a concentration in economics. Final grades for the semester posted thursday, rehersal was friday, and graduation was today. It was pretty awesome because the ceremony lasted less than 2 hours even though it was a graduating class of approximately 800. Rather than just going in alphabetical order, they broke us down by college (i.e., college of business, college of nursing, etc.), so I was actually sitting near friends that I have shared many classes with over the past couple of years. After the ceremony, there was a big celebration at the house. It was lots of fun and great to see so many people. I don't know if we ever counted up how many people came, but I would say 30 is a pretty good guess. I didn't know the house could hold that many! :-P Some of my mom's family TOTALLY got me a ping pong table as a graduation present! WOOT!!!
Well...I'm sure there is much more to be said, but I'm pretty much exausted.
Have a good weekend!!
