I love to be [overana|kirbyj2][lytical|campmagicman]

Last night, Dad, Josh, and I watched Ernest Saves Christmas. It's tradition that we (at least Dad and I) watch that movie every Christmas, but only once. We usually don't get the opportunity to rewind it and watch our favorite parts over and over again, but since this time it was mainly mi hermano y mi papá, we got to rewind and criticize majorly. Jim Varney is the best actor ever. Everyone should go rent Ernest Saves Christmas this season.
Winter camp is TOMORROW! Soak up all the fun and stay warm. I love everyone!
The long dreaded post
The closer winter camp gets, the harder it's been. I read everyone else's blogs about it and how excited they are to see each other. So badly I wish I could partake in the love of my brothers and sisters at that lovely site between Cedar Park and Marble Falls, Texas...but I will be in Aurora, Colorado with my family during those days.
It's tradition that we (Dad, Mom, Josh, Grandma, and I) go up there every other Christmas, and they (my 2 aunts, uncle, and cousin) come down here the others. This means also that I will miss winter camp my senior year. My graduate year is also looking like a no, but I'd like to view all of my unfortunate news in an optimistic manner.
As much as I keep wishing I could be in Texas to be at winter camp, I try to hold back. And my reason for trying to hold those strong feelings back is simple - because I know that God is making the situation beautiful in His time. In fact, He has really started working on me by pumping me up daily for all our family's fun inside jokes, food, Colorado weather, and of course, sleep. And, as much as I think I need to be at winter camp, the Lord obviously does not think I need to be there. He has better plans for me. He always has, and He always will.
All you who will be there, use your time wisely there. Please take pictures. Please keep up the team spirit. Get as much spiritually rebooted as possible. This is what you need. And this is what God thinks you need.

Jesus Christ is comin' to town!
You better watch out. You better not cry.
You better not pout...I'm tellin' you why-
Jesus Christ is comin' to town!
God's makin' a list and checkin' it twice.
He's gonna find out who's naughty and nice.
Jesus Christ is comin' to town!
He sees when you're sleeping.
He knows when you're awake.
He knows if you've been bad or good,
So be good for righteousness' sake!
Oh, you better watch out. You better not cry.
You better not pout...I'm tellin' you why-
Jesus Christ is comin' to town!
Faithful Christians in this sinful land
Will have a jubilee.
They'll sing infinite praises to God and never grow weak. ('round the throne!)
You better watch out. You better not cry.
