Yes, school did get started this week. Luckily the kids only had to miss one day of school because of the storm (Fay). It is amazing as I look at the course this storm has taken this week and how it has managed to just "skirt" around the Tampa area. We are soo lucky. The folks on the east side of the state, well, they may have washed out into the Atlantic by now. I know that I was hearing of 2 to 3 FEET of rain over there. No more drought for that side of the state.
Now, back to school starting... Emily tried out for the girl's Volleyball team yesterday. She said it was really fun, even though she got hit in the face w/ the ball one time. But she said she was okay, shook it off and continued playing. (Josh Hastings should be very proud of her) But alas, she did not make the team. She told me a few minutes ago that "it's okay, now she is practicing to try-out for soccer"(as she is running and kicking the ball, with phone in hand, in the yard).
I love her enthusiaism and am VERY proud of her for moving on to try something different.
I hope that you fellow Floridians have managed to stay afloat this week and wish you all the best..... there are 4 more tropical waves out in the Atlantic right now.

4th Grade is quickly approaching for Emily. She is excited. She can't wait to find out if there will be new kids in her class. Although,as of right now, she has another throat infection. She started her summer vacation with strep throat and then had tonsilitis. She has had a fever for 2days and she is just wiped out. She wants to feel better so badly. She doesn't want to miss out on the last summer skate night on Monday night. She has really had a lot of fun with the skate nights this summer. She is learning to skate and she is making more friends. I am glad about the new friends, because (1)-they are from Christian families and (2)-I am hoping that it will give her more confidence toward attending a summer camp (away from home) next summer. I hope that all of you have had a great summer. We have managed to keep Emily rather busy all summer. Now we have started extra work on her times tables.

Well, I have been to visit my cousin,Tommy Andrews. And I must say that all the reports of him have lots of energy....well, they are absolutely correct. He has always liked giving orders and that is what he is doing(ha,ha). He does have a lot of energy just not the stamina to go with it. He is doing remarkably well. It has now been almost 2months with his new organs and he is very proud. The Lord is so amazing in the ways that He blesses us and takes care of us. Many thanks to the Almighty.
On other summer notes.... Emily is enjoying the summer. I am thinking that she may actually go to FC Summer Camp in north Fla. next year. She had 4-6 of her cousins that went this year and a couple of them have told her how much fun they had. That has been a great encouragement for next year.
She seems to be really looking forward to 4th grade. We will hopefully get to do some school shopping later this week.
Craig's shop has been SUPER slow lately, only 2-3 jobs coming in at a time and they haven't been all that great. How do you explain to someone, who hasn't worked for anyone but himself for over 20 yrs., that it might be time to go find another job? I don't want to crush him, but this is probably what is going to have to happen. Any input?
Well, TTFN.

WEll, it's hard to believe that Emily has completed 3rd Grade all ready. She is so excited to be a 4th Grader now. Her last day of school was last Friday (5/23). We are now in the process of finding things to keep her busy for the summer. She has asked to attend a gymnastics summer camp. I think we are going to let her go to the Temple Terrace Rec Center's gymnastics summer camp, if we can afford it.
She had a really good school year. She had some challenges this year and has managed them very well. They had an awesome time on the end of the year field trip to Kennedy Space Center. She is really looking forward to the summer and "doing stuff". My cousin,Tommy, is doing very well. His doctors are telling him that he may get to go home this week. On another family note, Craig's 90-yr-old grandmother is now in the hospital with pneumonia and his mother doesn't think that she will be going back to the assisted living home any time soon. She has been in the Plant City hospital for about a week now. She looks so frail and her mind is just not as good as it used to be. Please pray for her also.
