I'm seriously considering going for my Bachelors instead of my Associates. Which means I'd be graduating in June 2011 instead of June 2010. I'm just finding that I really am starting to enjoy the higher up classes. I'm supposed to graduate in two quarters... and I kind of don't want to leave. Crazy, I know. Opinions?

I think a bachelor's degree will serve you better in the long run, and 1 more year to get it is a good deal. That's my 2 cents. ;)

That is amazing that it is only one more year! I say go for it. It could open doors that you don't even see right now.

I think you should finish your Associates, then transfer to Austin to finish your Bachelors. But that's just me. :P

I survive on the breath you are finished with. (A beautiful lyric courtesy of John Mayer, someone I just realized I adore.)

It's been over a month and a half since I posted last. Am I turning into my mother?

1. I'm on break right now. And I'm stoked. One whole week of no school! Woohooooo.
2. Only 9 months left until graduation. CRAZY.
3. I got a weekend job as a photographer's assistant for TSS Photography. They do kid's sports pictures. Today was my first day. It was exhausting, and hot, but I go to work with Darren Burks and his lovely wife, and the kids were ADORABLE. So the latter two DEFINITELY outweighed the unfortunateness of the first two. :)
4. I'm making friends at school. Weird, I know. But it's definitely happening.
5. I read an incredible book entitled "Jansten's Gift" by Pam Cope. I recommend it. That woman is awesome. I can't wait to meet her.
6. I think I'm addicted to the DVR. Not cool.
7. I don't get to go home this break. Which is weird. I don't know what to do with myself a whole week in Dallas without school. I've never done it before!
8. I hate Halloween. But I'm considering actually dressing up this year. And maybe visiting a certain someone...
9. I'm saying I a lot. That's unfortunate.
10. I (drat) found out that I really like baking because it's relaxing. Strange, I realize, because I can barely COOK. But I like BAKING. Very different. I've made a cake and cookies in the past week. And I'm considering making cookies again tonight. I'm sensing a few extra pounds in the future...
11. I should be taking Amanda's senior pictures in a week. I'm pretty excited about that. :)
12. My goal for this school break is to get a lot of my website content and whatnot done. And my FaceBook fanpage up. So you should watch for that. :D.
13. I hate the number 13.
14. I think that's it. I just didn't want to end on 13. :)

Hope everyone is doing well!

I hope you find some things in dallas that you didn't know about before. You should go to the art museums if you haven't been yet. They are pretty cool. What does TSS stand for? I don't care for halloween either. Neat. I wish I had a DVR sometimes, but then again, I rely on Hulu and that gets me through...and it's free. I'm a horrible baker...much better at cooking. Although, I do have a great receipe for Cherry-Oatmeal cookies, if you're interested. I don't like oatmeal rasin so it was a big deal for me to try these...but they are DELICIOUS. When David takes them to work, everyone really likes them. :)

To you is it just not real?

I'm thinking about other things I heard about today
All this week and tomorrow
And how these hands can create some better things for bettering
But you see for now I got my own things

I can't help it
I got too many issues I own
So I cannot help I'm afraid, yeah
But keep on preaching, preaching and heal the world
Lip service makes us look great

Do you feel
The weight of the world singing sorrow
Or to you is it just not real
Cause you got your own things
Yeah we all have our things I guess

I guess my mind wanders off
from time to time
Sometimes I convince myself
that all is fine in the world
It's not mine
Why should I have to try to fix things I didn't create or contrive?

Do you feel
The weight of the world singing sorrow
Or to you is it just not real
Cause you got your own things
Yeah we all have so many things

Have the habits
Had you
Has it been for long
Can you feel the souls behind what's going on

Do you feel
The weight of the world singing sorrow
Or to you is it just not real
Cause you got your own things
Yeah we all have our things

Do you feel
The weight of the world singing sorrow
Or to you is it just not real
Cause you got your things
Yeah we all so many things
And I can get past these things

And I'm proud to be an American, where at least I know I'm free.

HEY GUESS WHAT?

Everyday there are US soldiers around the world fighting for your freedom. They are away from their homes, their spouses, and their children-- FOR US. Here's the good news. You can support them, in a very simple and easy way. :) Go onto adoptaussoldier.org and sign up and you'll receive your soldier within 3 days. Generally they ask you send about one letter a week and one care package a month. They had 29 soldiers sign up today ALONE, so they are in need of supporters. Some of the soldiers have email, some do not. If you get one WITH an email address-- adopting a soldier doesn't cost very much money. Just your time. And I've think they deserve that. Please sign up!!! :D

My soldier is a man from Tennessee currently in Iraq. And he's super nice. :) We've emailed back and forth and I am fixing to send him a care package sometime very soon! :) He's explained to me how much it means to the soldiers to know people back home still care about them even though most of them think the war is pointless. These soldiers need our encouragement, thanks, and love. Just letting them know we still support them has changed soldier's lives. AND-- it's an excellent chance to spread the Gospel, I'm just saying. :)

Let me know if you sign up!!

My dad served in the Navy and I think we should never forget what they have done and are doing to help us keep OUR FREEDOMS! We need to remember that they are sacrificing more than just their lives and time, but there are many other aspects of being a solider. After seeing what Vietnam did to my dad, well it makes me grateful I even had a father for as long as I did ya know?... Anyways We need to remember those who fought and are still fighting for our freedom! The good men and women who serve give us the opportunity to just live our days as we wish. How wonderful a blessing! Praise God for that!
