allright.. so here's the rest of the story.
so last night at about 10 pm or so i decided to head home to lexington. i loaded my car up with all the stuff i brought home.. clothes, laptop, dig. camera, books, and even a carpet remnant i was attempting to donate to a buddy of mine back in the lex. i got about 30-40 minutes into the drive, and i entered a construction zone near a truck weigh station. near the truck weight station exit, i noticed a truck barrelling down the ramp. he looked like he was going to take up both lanes so i tended to get in the fast lane and hit my brakes a little to give him room.
he passed by, but the trunk end of the car fish-tailed, hit the giant concrete divider that was directly parallel to the lane i was in to my left, rode the divider, and flipped over 180 degrees in two directions.,
when the car came to rest, i was hanging suspended in my seat belt, and the car facing towards traffic in the slow lane upside down. before anything happened, i tried to take the keys out. it was still in drive, so it didn't work. so i reached for the emergency lights, unbuckled myself, opened the driver-side door, and crawled out. i immediately called 911 to report the incident on my call phone. somebody got out of their car to check on me in the mean-time... i seemed ok. i called mom and dad and they started up the road after me. the police showed up, called up a tow-truck, mom and dad showed up about the time that it arrived. i managed to pop the trunk and get all my stuff out of it.
so overall, i'm fine. i'm a little sore, have a few small cuts on my hands, and am glad to be alive. somehow my laptop and digital camera managed to survive. i guess that carpet remnant came in handy after all.
the only casualties from the wreck were the tote carrying all books, my driving record, and, as expected, the Camry. it looks like i might be inheriting an army green '98 Nissan altima.
and on the upside, i now have another super neat driving story AND an entire lucky outfit.
how is everyone else's new year going?

I'm very glad you were not hurt! It really stinks that this happened, but that's pretty much how life goes sometimes. I'll have to tell you about my latest car mishap later.
seriously glad to hear you're OK!
Trailer Notes: I just got an iMac for Christmas and I wanted to make my first iMovie special. While I was considering it, I got hit by a bolt of inspiration. I decided to do a spoof trailer for a movie about a friend of mine who just had a bad wreck.
Craig, thanks for being a good sport! You are one of my best friends in the world, and this is just my pitiful attempt to make a joke at your expense.
