I'm a movin' on uuup!
Hello friends, I'm back again for my monthly post.
The new job is going really well. Since the company is so new, all "employees" are contracted workers. Once they get all of the HR stuff established for the company, I will be a full employee of Baswood (with all those good benefits and stuff). In the meantime, I have to pay out all my taxes by myself. Not exactly sure how that's going to work. Anyone want to be my personal accountant?
I also found out that once I learn the ropes and can manage things pretty much by myself, I will become the head engineer! The other engineer has his own company and needs to devote his time to it. So far, they've been really pleased with my work, even though I feel like I haven't done any real engineering stuff yet (They were very excited when I made some simple charts for them in Excel. I guess they thought it was pretty complex.) The communication in Baswood is really bad, and part of my job is to get them more organized and keep them that way. I think I was born for management. I get a great sense of pride in being able to orchestrate people to work together, do a good job, and enjoy it all. If everyone in a company will simply ask their co-workers "what can I do to make things easier for you," the company can become successful very quickly.
Anyway, you get that bit of information free of charge ;) I am available for farther management counseling, for an additional fee. hahaha
In other news, I'm flying down to Florida on the week of the 17th for the wedding of my good buddies Jimmy Petrousse and Tabitha Puckett. It will be the first time I've flown on a plane since I was about 10, so I'm pretty psyched. I love flying. But more importantly, I get to see my good friends finally joined in marriage, after overcoming so many hardships. Hooray for them!
Well, I'm kind of tired of writing now, as I'm sure you're tired of reading. But, last (and CERTAINLY not least!) I want to mention my wonderful girlfriend of over 7 months now, Lindsey. She's an incredible woman. Thanks, babydoll, for the constant encouragment and support!
