Can you believe our kids are in their 30's!?! (Well, Jeremy soon will be..) What does that make us? (don't answer that.)

Very, very concerned. I've contacted my congressman.
I will have two kids that are in their 40's before this year is over.
    That makes me OLD!!!
How old was Sharon when y'all came to the church in Liberty?

I know. It's ridiculous. I wake up at night thinking about it. They're stripping our rights and everybody is going along with it waving banners. So much for America, Land of the Free and Home of the Brave. I still don't understand why if it's so great, our Senators and Congressment aren't signing themselves up. But in any socialist, marxist, communist society there is an elite class. Guess they're ours. Yeah for them.

They're going to ram it down our throats because it's what's best for us. We're too stupid to realize it.

Uh, that is totally crazy! This morning, I should have printed it out! Funny how smoke and mirrors work. How can we believe anything from this government?

Pretty insane all of the things that they think have to be spelled out. One big problem with lawyers is that they think the law must have every little thing spelled out, or it'll be open for too much interpretation. But the more they spell out, the more things they introduce that would amount to judgment calls. Legal contracts and laws are just ridiculous, and impossible these days.

And with the mindset we've developed in our time, based on how contracts and laws are written, people try to read the Bible the same way, either looking for loopholes or looking to exclude things based on what it doesn't say. It doesn't work that way!

Stupid Buzzard

goes and commits suicide on my windshield. Applies brakes. Honking the horn. Duck! Wham! Crack goes the glass! Over the truck and flop to the road. Stupid dead buzzard!
  • AlanL
Wow! Maybe you shouldn't have honked... then you'd have just run over it. ;-)

Really, sorry about that. Having to get a new windshield is a pain.

You have the worst luck with birds and cars.

I recall to mind a story of your jeep and a large beech type bird.

I remember being at a stop sign waiting for an on coming van to turn. At the van turned, I saw a Seagull hanging from it's grill. It's foot had gotten stuck and it was just hanging there. I cannot imagine their face when they got out and saw that! LOL

Sorry about your trouble. What a payne in the glass.

Omnaris and Pantanase

Have any of you had problems with Omnaris or Pantanase? I was having shooting muscle pains and muscle weakness. It felt sorta like the flu. Made me think of a friend with Fibro Myalgia. It was hurting to touch certain muscles. Also have joint aches that will wake me up. I have been on these drugs for 1 month. Studied the pharmacy printouts and found possible side effects, linked with these two drugs. Stopped the Omnaris and the shooting pains and muscle weakness are much better. Suggestions?

Will talk with my doctor, next week. We have had to switch quit a few drugs, over the years because of side effects. Don't like being the exeption!
  • mother_hen
Hadn't heard of this, but when I googled it I remember that I am seeing lots of advertisements for Omnaris lately. Good to know! Hope you figure something out. Allergy shots have helped me a lot.

I used to be a pharmacy technician and I remember that it is possible to have joint pain from these type of drugs. (Of course it is possible for one to have side effects that have not been noted in clinical trials as well.)

Ominaris should not be combined with erythromycin (antibiotic) or oral ketoconazole (antifungal) due to drug interactions. It is a steroid which suppresses the immune system. Meaning it makes you more susceptible to disease and illness.

Patanase is steroid-free so won't cause immune supression problems. It is more likely to cause a hole in the nasal septum and to make one feel sleepy than Omnaris.

My son, starting at a young age, was on an inhaler for several years. He complained during this time that his feet hurt terribly. His physician, allergist, foot doctor and even specialists could find nothing wrong. They did not know what to do to help him except to try shoe inserts. (big whoopy)

I was having problems with my own asthma and was prescribed the same type of inhaler. After being on the medication for only a few days I noticed that my elbow hurt but put it off as work related. I awoke another day to find that my feet hurt terribly! It then dawned on me that might be the source of my my son's pain. We both stopped the medication and the foot pain went away. All those doctors should have paid back the money I paid them. ;-)

Moral of the story: Listen to your body and trust it. Many times it knows more than the 'professionals'.

    What color are you hibiscus?

I know I had a "rare, but documented" side effect to an antibiotic. I was so dizzy after 2-3 days that I could barely stand. I stopped it on my own and the dizziness vanished.

A crunching in the woods,

sounded as if a large thing were walking through the recently logged acreage, next door. Hmmm, what is that sound? Movement above catches my eye. Did you know buzzards are really clumsy? The trees are thick and the buzzard is taking off, from a high limb. His wings are so wide he crashes into limbs as he ascends. The dry limbs and twigs snap and crack. How odd!
There are 20+ buzzards in the trees, all staring in the same directions. Ok, what stinky dead thing will I begin smelling any second. No dead raccoon, possum, etc.. Two redtailed hawks are perched nearby, watching. Chores are calling to me, so enough fun. Walking back to the gate, I hear a wooshing sound overhead. Twenty buzzard fly in formation ( I never have seen this ) about 30 feet over my head. What a cool sound, they make. Reminds me of our owl swooping down next to my head. They pass by and all is quiet, again.
  • sjean
Oh... I was waiting to hear you say they swooped down on you. Relief!
Good to see you last night.
