What's going down in the hood

I am now a residence of the 'boro! WHOOT WHOOT! Still have a lot of unpacking to do but I'm out of town right now at her house, so there's no physical way I can do it HA! I like my new little place its cozy and just the space I need for me and God. =) Work is great and the kids are growing like weeds.

I have made one of the best decisions of my life and started my Mary Kay business and I'm on track for my free car..woot woot. Danielle began first but hey it took me awhile to get it through my hard head that this is something I can excel at and have fun at the same time.

So now I am extremely busy and extremely happy. God certainly has blessed me in so many ways and continues to do so daily. I look forward to each new day with Him...speaking of which I'm off to bed so I can greet the day cheerfully in the morning.

I hope you will be happy in Greensboro. I miss trapsing around the Friendly Center. Good luck with Mary Kay.

WOW It's been awhile...well due to computer issues and all that jazz. Nothing much to report just the same ol' same ol' working for the man, ha ha ha. Getting ready to move to the 'boro that's exciting and not b/c of the actual work of moving. Getting a place by myself for the first time which is exciting, my roomy and I are seperating =( but alas the economy and everything else.

Lets see what else has happened...oh I went back to Texas for my brothers wedding (before it was a new country *roll eyes*). It was beautiful and I was able to see many friends I have not seen in years and made me miss Miriameven more. Good times.

Yes, have concluded that under the current poor economic times that I should live in a box, yes down by the river (for those of you who love the snl) because its more economically sound than buying a house right now. Many have pointed out that my box would melt so i decided on those huge plastic bins that I could buy at the dollar store. I would have to get a p.o. box since i probably would have to move frequently living in people from church's yards or camp grounds. Oh well it was a nice dream while it lasted.

Uuuhhh nothing much thats about it most of you keep up with me daily on facebook so I feel like I'm redundant. Oh well, have a great weekend!

One of the best weekends ever!

This weekend has been one of the most encouraging, uplifting, fun, and delicious weekends ever! First I have three christmas parties to attend; friday's white elephant/sleepover, saturday morning's ornament exchange and saturday night's cookie exchange. Triple threat and wonderful times spent with my brothers and sisters in Christ. Major plus got to actually carry several long conversations with Meg whom we never see each other even though we're roommates. =)

Today has been the most uplifting day! Perry's lesson was superb and helped me learn how to teach the gospel according to how Jesus taught it. We have had eight souls saved total this month and four of those were this weekend. Two were from this morning. One was from meeting her and her children at a booth that we do at different fairs. It lifts my spirit, heart and hopes for the opportunity for more to be saved. My hopes and fervant prayers are for the parents I work for to come to the Lord. So please pray for their hearts!

Hope all of ya'll have the blessing of a wonderful weekend as I have!

Ok, I'm dumb and thought I responded earlier but I guess I didn't. Glad we'll get to see you!! I'm looking forward to it. :)

1. Part of my routine before I get into bed is to put a stack of book/dvds in front of my vcr light so it won’t blind me when I turn the lights off.
2. I like to sleep in a den of darkness; I have a thick blanket nailed over my window
3. I have to have pillows surrounding me when I go to sleep so I won’t roll off the edge of the bed during the wee hours of the morn.
4. I love raffia…there are so many decorative uses for it.
5. After honking the horn at slow reacting drivers, I feel guilty so I wave to the slow person to give them the impression I know them and that was the reason for my honking.
6. Frequently, I burst into song related to a word that was just spoken
7. I LOVE TETRIS!!! I am a little obsessed with it at the moment.
8. I always wanted to write a complete book thus I have about 12 stories begun which only 2 have gotten to 60 pages.
9. Vicky the Volvo always has at least two books in the car for those just-in-case situations.
10. I hate jacket covers on books they always frustrate me but I can’t seem to part with them; I hide them in a drawer.
11. Some time in the near future I would like to purchase my passport.
12. In the near future I will go to China, Sri Lanka, Prince Edward Island, Mexico, Morocco, Ireland, Scotland, Paris, Vire (France), Vinci (Italy), Milan, Cyprus, Crete, England, Germany, Austria, Australia, Iceland, Alaska. Not too much to ask =)
13. I hope to one day be able to knit something other than a scarf.
14. I chew gum at least 12 hours a day
15. I clog wherever I go, no matter the music or if there is no at all.
16. My conversations with my friends always involve monologue out of movies, tv shows or tv commercials.

#5 and #16 are hilarious and #10 sounds like me! Book jackets get especially bad for children's books so you can guess what I have in my book case!

Thanks! The petticoat is lovely! I made a grey woolen bed-gown (short, casual jacket-type thing) to wear with it. I'll have someone take a picture of it and I'll post it sometime!

So this post is for mom and anyone else that cares... since i used all of my minutes this month due to the many guests and family that came to see me for 1000k. I am either leaving for Wilmington Tuesday night or early Wednesday since M's parents are so kind to give me Wed. off also. I am excited Meghan is coming for Thanksgiving, and I get to see my family and the church family there in Wilmington!

Last weekend I went to a nerd party in Concord with my p.i.c....it was soooo much fun!!! I guess if I had fun at a nerd party that makes me a nerdalicious but I already knew that. I'll try to get the pictures on here...I already have them on facebook so feel free to look there.

Things are going great work is work but most of the time its fun. I woke up with no voice and a cough on Tuesday, which was strange since I was not yelling or using my voice any different that the norm. I am soooo glad for Mucinex, it does wonders along with apples and applesauce (ha ha ha). Today I am much better although its getting close to the time for more of the drugs. =)

Well got to turn in for the night since I am going to see the Trans-Sibrean Orchestra tomorrow night with amanda H. Have a good Gobbler Day filled with many thanks to God!

So nice chatting with you last night...it would be great to see you in February if it all works out!!
