Mailbox
Going to the mailbox used to be one of the highlights of my day. Now, its bills, advertisements, politics,
and someone wanting money. I miss those hand-addressed, hand-written letters from friends and family.
There's just something about a personal letter thats heart-warming. I love my Pleo friends, but I do miss
those letters. Think I'll start using more postage for something besides paying bills.

I thought about the same thing about 2 weeks ago myself. I have a chest that I have all the notes, cards and letters my mom and my best friend and a few others have sent me. I miss getting them too. I sent a few out myself hoping to start receiving them again too. -
I wrote one last week to a struggling sister and opened it with a little fussing to myself for not writing MORE letters. (I knew I could reach her on Facebook, but...) She was there Sunday and we hugged and had a good laugh over that. You are right. We need to do it more. -
I have a dear friend that says that's why she doesn't have a computer...she likes the personal phone calls and hand-written notes. I admire that in her. She is always sending cards or notes to me and others. You are a great example. I think I'll do the same....it only takes a little time out of your schedule. -
My husband races to the mailbox everyday hoping to get a letter but he settles for magazines, and bills and junk mail. It's the highlight of his day. It used to be mine too when he was in the army. If I didn't get a letter everyday I would get depressed. That was our way of talking to one another. This was before cell phones people. It's amazing what you'll put on paper that you won't say on the phone. I miss it too. -

This past year I started trying to send more cards and have gotten some better but still have a lot of room for improvement. I remember before cell phones, when long distance calls were expensive, and you wrote a lot of letters because you wanted to stay in touch and that was the least expensive way. You young ones out there probably won't relate to how expensive calling used to be. It was saved for something special. -
I love to get mail and send out mail also I can say more on paper on my blog and through email than in person -
Thanks. I am glad you will get to see dad soon! I will make sure that I will give Lindsey a hug! Love you. -
Thanks for your comment about Mom. I'm sending you an email.
