So why should the college application process make you feel that way? You have nightmares about clocks. You’ve done complex equations just to figure out how to shave 24.7 seconds off your shower time in the morning so you can increase your study time by .03%. You wear your soccer uniform under your clothes all day just so you can skip changing and use the extra time to take another practice AP exam. You have the dubious distinction of being the first high school student to have actually exhausted the memory on your PDA. Your dad has started referring to the month of November simply as "go time." Your parents just signed you up for advanced oboe lessons. Wait, you don't even play the oboe. Ouch.
Got that in an e-mail from some college, thought it was pretty funny.
I could bring up how life actually is a timed test for which God has amply supplied us, and how our schedule shouldn't be that hectic and the Lord deserves more than a meager sacrifice of left-overs.. but I won't go into that.

Something of note will be an eventuality.

10. I love yardwork. Yesterday I spent a few hours mowing the lawn, uprooting irises and busting up concrete from an old dog pen.
9. I'm enjoying Calculus this year.
8. I hate reading because I love it too much. If I find a good book, it will take over my life until I finish it.
7. I run cross country.
6. I chased a goat last Saturday for around 15 minutes. It went through culverts under the road, up hills and through someone's yard until it finally got tired and I caught it and put it back in its pen. I have no idea who owned it. I just saw it walking next to the road.
5. I drive a Jeep Wrangler named Todd.
4. I've eaten cow tongue tacos, thanks to Isaac Munoz. Going along with weird meals, ostrich is very good.
3. uh...
2. I got in the bottom 5% on my ACT essay.. ouch.
1. I am no longer mine. Christ has bought me and I live each day looking forward to the glory, honor and immortality to be given to me and all those who believe at the coming of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

I had to choose between the two on an application for a scholarship website today. Ironic.
