We need your advice…

Bill and I are celebrating our 5 year anniversary with a vacation in Europe this fall!!! Since high school, I have loved reading and watching movies on the early 1800’s and we are actually going to go see some of those places! We are going to Paris, London, Bath, and this house (Chatsworth) near Bakewell in the UK. For you Jane Austin fans, this is “Pemberly” from Pride & Prejudice movies. I want to wear a bonnet the while I’m over there but Bill says he won’t be seen with me.

I’ll bore you with the details later, but for now, we need your help. Bill and I would like to go to a play in London but we aren’t sure which to go see. Your options are …
-Les Miserables (sp?)
-Phantom of the Opera
-Wicked
-Other
I don’t think we’ve ever been to play unless you count high school and we don’t really know what they’re about. So, please make a case for your play below… Bill says choose wisely. :)

I have seen Wicked and Phantom. For your first time and seeing it in London, go for Phantom. You will not forget it. It was the first show I'd ever seen live and I was mesmerized.

Go for the bonnet...and post a picture. :) I have only seen Wicked of the ones you listed, but my parents saw Phantom. I liked Wicked ok, but didn't really think it was amazing like everyone said. I would choose Phantom. Have a great vacation!

I would see Phantom! I saw it over there with my family when I was 16 in Her Majesty's Theatre and it was a great experience!

I'd wear a bonnet at Pemberly! Seriously, when else will you get that opportunity?! I saw Phantom on Broadway and loved it. I vote Phantom or Les Mis. Wicked just seems so non-European. Maybe Jekyl and Hyde?

Phantom for sure! My favorite cast was the original London cast with Michael Crawford and Sarah Brightman! Les Mis a close second though. Enjoy your vacation and don that bonnet girl!

I saw Les Miz on Broadway and it was good, but definitely not a Favorite. I have been dying to see Phantom so I would definitely recommend it. It's a classic!

My wife saw P of the O in London in 95 with a girlfriend. She enjoyed it. I went to the Imperial War Museum instead. Being a history nut, if I ever return to Europe I want to see the Normandy Battlefield. Other than that I have no love for France.

CAT DIARY

Day 983 of my captivity.

My captors continue to taunt me with bizarre little dangling objects. They dine lavishly on fresh meat, while the other inmates and I are fed hash or some sort of dry nuggets. Although I make my contempt for the rations perfectly clear, nevertheless must eat something in order to keep up my strength. The only thing that keeps me going is my dream of escape.

In an attempt to disgust them, I once again vomit on the carpet.

Today I decapitated a mouse and dropped its headless body at
their feet. I had hoped this would strike fear into their hearts, since it clearly demonstrates what I am capable of. However, they merely made condescending comments about what a 'good little hunter' I am. They continue to pick me up and handle me, an obvious attempt to
subvert me.

There was some sort of assembly of their accomplices tonight. I
was placed in solitary confinement for the duration of the event.
However, I could hear the noises and smell the food. I overheard that my confinement was due to the power of 'allergies.' I must learn what this means, and how to use it to my advantage.

Today I was almost successful in an attempt to assassinate one
of my tormentors by weaving around his feet as he was walking. I must try this again tomorrow -- but at the top of the stairs.

I am convinced that the other prisoners here are flunkies and
snitches. The dog receives special privileges. He is regularly released -- and seems to be more than willing to return. He is obviously retarded.

Tonight I will again lay on their heads while they sleep and
hope to smother them.

Jessica - I'm sure you're cat is wonderful... but I thought this was so funny. :)

Thanks for the prayers! I haven't felt very well for a while now--stress probably does make it worse!! I've been on a new med called Neurontin. It helps with the fibromyalgia A LOT! It numbs your nerve endings at night so you're not in pain and don't wake up every 30 minutes. It does make you tired though, and a little woozy--so you have to have like 9 hours of sleep (at least for me and my small frame). Have a good day!

I’ve decided that Bill has a secret job on the side… he looks for American Idol talent. Are these coincidences?

1. Jasmine Murray – from Starkville - Home of Mississippi State… Bill’s alma mater
2. Alexis Grace – from Memphis - Bill is too
3. Lil Rounds – from Memphis - Bill is too
4. Kris Allen – from Conway - Bill has visited here several times
5. Michael Sarver – from Jasper - This is right up the road from us
6. Megan Joy – Her name is the same as my sister’s… this is probably stretching it
7. Anoop - This is what got me wondering… Bill showed me a you tube video about a year ago of Anoop singing in the UNC acapella group

So there are some interesting coincidences with 6 of the contestants.

Tim and Lisa do still live there, but they are fine! Lisa and the kids were home and saw the tornado coming too. They lost a tree and their trampoline, but the house is fine. Pretty crazy though!

Megan (my sis) is living with us while she does her dietetic internship/grad school. The internship finishes up in May and then she gets married in June. We’ve had so much fun together! I’m also helping with wedding plans. I had forgotten how much time that takes.

Wesley (my bro) got an internship this semester in Houston. So, he’s only an hour away. I love having him so close!

Bill is working really hard. It’s still really busy at work. Even with all of that going on, he’s super sweet and always patient with me.

I recently got an additional job at work. I’m still a cost engineer but it’s part-time now and the rest of the time I’m a capital budget coordinator. I really like it! It’s busy but fun.

BTW, next time you go to the doctor, ask them to check your vitamin d level!!!

I've taken Vit D on a few occassions...prescription strength, where I take it once a week. I've never noticed feeling tons better...I am supposed to get my blood drawn again though and see if it stayed up, it usually doesn't! haha Glad you're feeling better!
