Vacation, and a new job...:)

We spent Monday and Tuesday in Atlanta. We went to a Braves baseball game and to the Georgia Aquarium. Here's some pictures..

While we were in Atlanta, I got a call from the Parent Teacher Store where I had put in an application several months ago. The manager offered me the job because she needed someone that could work afternoons and weekends. :) My first day is Tuesday, I'm really excited.

On top of that my birthday is in two weeks :) I'm gonna be 17 and starting my senior year in high school. I can't believe it. It seems like yesterday I was starting my freshman year, now I'm coming up on my last year of high school ever. Time flies. :)

as you all probably know mom had us painting during spring break, and she asked my cousin dillan to help. so thursday morning i drove over to his house to get him and was talking to ashlynn while i was waiting for him. she told me she was going shopping, and asked me to come. when i told her i couldn't because i had to help mom paint, this was her reply. "Karkar girls don't paint. they just go shopping and have babies." haha. i don't know where she comes up with that stuff. she's way to smart for her own good. =)

I don't think snow days (or just "cold" days) ever get old. When I was teaching, once it got to mid January and February, all the teachers would be in the break room begging for and betting on if there would be a snow day the next day. It was so funny!

tomorrow is my last day at belk. they found out that they were not allowed to keep anyone that was not 16. my manager was very upset, and she told me i could come back when i was 18. oh well thats life i guess

Oh, sad. Sorry to hear that. You must have really made an impression on your boss for them to be so upset about losing you.

i found out today from Kim Susie (one of my mangers) that she is trying to keep me permanently as an associate in the childrens dept. at Belk! i really hope that she can......=]
