A FAIR DAY
We went to the Georgia National Fair. Tim, I don't know why they call it the National Fair instead of the state fair, but anyhow, it was a lot of fun. Emily and Taylor rode a few of those crazy turn you upside down, spin you, throw you high into the air kind of rides. Once upon a time, I could ride those things too, but not any more! We enjoyed the free circus, browsing the exhibits, and looking at the animals. I probably embarrassed my children with my exclamations of how huge some of the horses were. I had never seen a 19 hand horse up close and personal before. I saw Anna's beautiful cake that took a first place ribbon, and I really enjoyed looking at the beautiful quilts. We didn't exactly eat healthy today, but we sure did enjoy those caramel apples! It was pretty chilly out today too. It was a wonderful family day and I think we will all sleep soundly tonight.

Glad you had fun Melia went too! -
That does sound like fun! Well, the quilts and cakes -- not so much the roller coasters! But what lovely memories you have stored away now. -
Wonderful family time. Those moments mean so much!!!! -
Very fun! -
Wow! I understand your amazement. Like you, I've never seen a horse up close that has 19 hands. (tee hee, LOL, snort snort) -
You're NOT supposed to eat healthy at a fair, silly Shannon! ;-) -

Glad you got to see her for a little while even if she was crying. Taylor cracked me up,"Take the baby, take the baby. " Maybe next she'll not be ready to go to bed. ;-) -
