HOw can we expect to be forgiven of all our sins (which we knowingly and unknowingly) commit every day if we don't learn ourselves forgive others. If you are thinking things like "oh how could that person have/but they hurt me/and they did this wrong to me/its not my fault" then that is a very selfish attitude and harbors anger and resentment that #1 comes back to only hurt you #2 is not what God wants #3 gets both parties no where so instead change your attitude and thoughts to think in favor of the offender, forgive and help yourself and them, besides do any of us truly deserve forgiveness? NO. so next time someone hurts you think about all the ways you've hurt God and the mercy and overabundance of blessings He has given in return..thats not fair huh? well thank GOd its not fair cuz otherwise we'd all be in trouble so be unfair and forgive

its very easy to assume things about people we don't knwo, and don't forgive them of the sins we don't know they committed or not and won't bring them the gospel on acount of that too. its hard. ahh

good point. also, try to look at it from the other person's perspective. oftentimes things happen that you see one way that the person intended to come out another way. try to look at the intent, what did the supposed offender *mean* to do. what was the attitude the person had in taking these actions. i know i say/do things all the time that end up with results completely opposite what i wanted them to be, so look at what that person wanted to happen, not what actually happened. see ya saturday. peace out. Thanks for the words of wisdom LC. Its easy to know the importance of forgiveness and the understand what we need to do but sadly it is a different matter all together when we try and put it into practice. Hopefully we will just all continuce to do our best to live up to God's expectations and show others some of the forgiveness he has shown us.

hey LC glad to see ya here..definitely wise words...we are so quick to judge others and never truely realize our own faults... i think we are unwilling to forgive others because it helps us (in our eyes) to justify our faults when in fact the problem is we havent forgiven others and we havent forgiven ourselves.. so judging others just seems easier and masks our faults... Thank God that his ways arent our ways... He is just ...He is loving ...He is merciful and only He can help us change...
