Winter

I've loved actually having a winter. Usually our winter consists of a week and that's it. It's been nice to see snow and have K see it and play in it. I am ready for spring though. Spring is by far, my favorite season :-) Everything's so green and fresh and new. I love seeing the hand of God renewing life each year. Happy almost spring :-)

Almost spring where you are, maybe!!! I don't think it comes where I am until sometime in June! :)

My brain is tired!

Does any other Mother out there feel like your brain is constantly going 90 miles an hour all the time?
It's such a daunting job to remember lots of things that I want to instill in K, teach her, talk to her about, etc... It just seems like 18 years isn't long enough to teach her all she needs to know.

But, I do think I've figured out the "secret" to all of this... prayer- and LOTS of it.
  • kaceyatthebat
*Sigh* Prayer is something I need to work on. Today has been a day of yelling, tears, Vicks Vapor Rub in the hair, Disney stickers all over my walls, DVDs destroyed, kids getting arms slammed in the top drawer of their dresser (yes the top...she was standing in the third drawer), etc. I think this mama is tired of having sick kids and these kids are tired of having a tired mama. I hate it when I can tell that I'm driving them just as crazy as they are driving me.

18 years does seem too short, doesn't it? Of course, some parents of 30 year old kids who camp out on their couch all day long would say differently!

I felt like mine went that fast but in the last year it switched to 20mph....very frustrating!!

Lol...that's why Dawnn tells me I talk too much...I only got her at 10 yrs old! I'm trying to cram 18 years into 8!

Christmas and New Years

Christmas time is ALMOST my favorite time of year. The older I get, the harder Christmas is in some respects. Budgeting, shopping, mailing, wrapping, etc... All of these I love to do, but the adult (someone has to do all of these things and take care of all of these things) part of it wears me out sometimes.

New Years on the other hand is my new favorite time of year. It's a fresh, new start. It's filled to the brim with hope, plans, dreams, etc... I love New Years because of how much lay before us. It's fun to think of all we'll accomplish, do and see.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year :-)
  • sharon
How much would it cost for you to renew it?

I hear you on that! While I do love Christmas, the "chores" that go with it wear me down sometimes. But New Years, like you said, is just so full of hope and expectation and freshness.

Merry Christmas and Happy 2010 to y'all, too!

I ordered CD's for both sermons on what M and F want from marriage. I'll mail them to you when they are burned. I'll get your address from Kacey, if she still has it. If not, I'll get back to you for an email with the information.

Expo Educator

Expo (as in the dry erase markers) is going to give 10 teachers a year's worth of school supplies. As some of you might know, Fred teaches 4th grade in a title one school which is comprise of low income families. These supplies would go to help those kids in his class who aren't able to purchase supplies. I know everyone is super busy these days. If you could go to:

www.expoeducator.com and nominate Fred I would really appreciate it.

By the way... the city he teaches in is Grand Prairie. Thanks so much!

Anyone need an Avon Lady?

Guess who's selling Avon? My mom used to sell it when I was a baby... back when they went door to door. Then she sold it a few years later. My grandma used to send me Avon since I was a little girl. I love Avon products! They are such a great quality for the price! If you live out of state or live far from our area, there's no shipping cost! You can either order from me (my email or call me) or off of my website... www.youravon.com/amiller0150. (I tried and tried to get this to link but couldn't! There is a link on the right of my page though.) I'm one of those people who likes to look at an Avon book while I'm in line somewhere or at the doctor's office so let me know if you'd rather have a hard copy to look at and I'll make sure you get one.

Now is a GREAT time to stock up for Christmas!

My first order goes in Tuesday, September 1st. There are some great deals in this campaign!

Thanks for reading about my newest venture :-)
  • missy
Can I have an Avon book? We used to sell it when I was in band (we could use the money toward our band trip) and I always loved looking through the book, especially the Christmas one!
