Ok, she is threatening to delete me, so here is something interesting I received recently that I found very funny!

FLORIDA COURT SETS ATHEIST HOLY DAY
In Florida, an atheist created a case against the upcoming Easter and Passover holy days. He hired an attorney to bring a discrimination case against Christians, Jews and observances of their holy days. The argument was that it was unfair that atheists had no such recognized days. The case was brought before a judge. After listening to the passionate presentation by the lawyer, the judge banged his gavel declaring,"Case dismissed!" The lawyer immediately stood objecting to the ruling saying, "Your honor, how can you possibly dismiss this case? The Christians have Christmas, Easter and others. The Jews have Passover, Yom Kippur and Hanukkah, yet my client and all other atheists have no such holidays. The judge leaned forward in his chair saying, "But you do. Your client, counsel, is woefully ignorant." The lawyer said, "Your Honor, we are unaware of any special observance or holiday for atheists." The judge said, "The calendar says April 1st is April Fools Day. Psalm 14:1 states, 'The fool says in his heart, there is no God.' Thus, it is the opinion of this court, that if your client says there is no God, then he is a fool. Therefore, April 1st is his day. Court is adjourned. You gotta love a Judge that knows his scripture!

Have you ever considered that the word skinny to describe someone might not be taken as a compliment? Ok, I know, to some who have struggles with weight might like to be considered skinny, but I have never thought of it that way. Recently, I made the comment that I was cold and the person next to me said "Well, no wonder look how skinny you are." Never would anyone think of telling someone "Look how fat you are" if they said they were hot. I think everyone in the world has something they don't like about their outward appearance. It's such a comforting feeling to know that we are all viewed as God's children, no matter how skinny, fat, short, tall, blonde, brunette, black, white, etc. we are. This has taught me to find the best in others and tell them about it. In fact, I think I will right now!

Ok, I know, it's been a while. I have no excuse. Lives are busy, but everyone on here seems to find the time to stay in touch. My hats off to you. I do check in every now and then to see what's new with everyone else. I just seem to draw a blank when it comes to posting. Well, I will try to update...

We had a great VBS in August with Dale Robins. I am already looking forward to next year. He is adventuring in to writing his own material and I can't wait.

September took the kids back to school and me back to work. So I guess you could say things are back to normal. Our ladies
renewal day was a huge success, thanks to her and Julie. It was great to spend the day with all the Christian ladies. Oh yeah, that reminds me, welcome Melissa to Pleo.

I think fall is finally here. The weather has cooled right down. Our trip to Alabama this year was fun. My brother got to go down too, so we got to spend time with the 3 of us. The only thing that I did not enjoy was the fire ants. The seemed to infest our campsite at the track. I didn't remember them being that bad when I lived down there before. I could just about scratch my feet off right now!

Well, (now that I have just about written a book) I will close with this: JD just celebrated his 12th birthday on Tuesday (Happy Birthday!) and our dog, Marley will be 1 tomorrow.

Muliple children's books
1 phone book and the "B" section of another one
A disposable razor
A bar of soap
Who-knows-what out of the garbage
Various shoes and/or sandles
The VCR remote
The Bell Express Vu Remote
Countless Barbies (just their feet-not sure why)
A calcultor
and just in the last 30 seconds...a toothbrush.

After our last dog, this seems absolutely rediculous. She seems beyond help. But then she looks at me with that face and I can't help but love her.
