Spring Is In The Air

Time to trim the shrubs, work in the yard, do things outside!

03/10: Just read an article about the wrath of allergies we are about to experience. All the Fall and current rains are already producing a bumper crop of mold and pollen. Said this Spring is worse and this Fall could be worse. Oh goodie. The DFW area is one of the worst in the country for allergies.

Comes with living in Texas. Just deal with it.

    I thought our little storm had passed so I headed out to do some errands. By the time I got to your house it started not just to rain but HAIL!!! I thought I might have to stop and ask you to take your car out from under the carport so I would have a safe place to park. :)

Math Teacher Arrested

A public school teacher was arrested today at John F. Kennedy
International Airport as he attempted to board a flight while in
possession of a ruler, a protractor, a compass, a slide-rule and a calculator.

At a morning press conference, Attorney General Holder said he
believes the man is a member of the notorious Al-Gebra movement. He
did not identify the man, who has been charged by the FBI with
carrying weapons of math instruction.

'Al-Gebra is a problem for us', Attorney General Holder said. 'They
derive solutions by means and extremes, and sometimes go off on
tangents in search of absolute values.' They use secret code names
like 'X' and 'Y' and refer to themselves as 'unknowns', but we have
determined that they belong to a common denominator of the axis of
medieval with coordinates in every country.

As the Greek philanderer Isosceles used to say, 'There are 3 sides to
every triangle'.

When asked to comment on the arrest, President Obama said, 'If God
had wanted us to have better weapons of math instruction, he would
have given us more fingers and toes.'

White House aides told reporters they could not recall a more
intelligent or profound statement by the President. It is believed
that the Nobel Prize for Physics will follow---

Still Snowing 12/24, 4:15 PM

In RO it's now 28 degrees with a very strong Northwest wind. It's really coming down. The last few minutes the road in front of my house has been covered in snow.

Have heard reports of ice on some bridges just west of FW. There is at least one more heavy band of snow on the way.
