So I'm gonna update for real now! :)
It's been a busy busy last couple of months for me. I work all the time- I think anyone who knows me knows that it's really no different from the way it normally is. haha. I stay tired though.
Auburn is 4-0. Awesome. We're not ranked though...don't really understand that, but I'm sure when we beat Tennessee this weekend we will be. :)
I went on Friday to Covington, GA to Josh and Kelsy's house for their Mom's birthday. The church there was having a weekend meeting with Dan DeGarmo. I've never heard him preach till then, but he was great and his lesson was really encouraging. Saturday we came back and I had to work while everyone else went to the game. Today was church, then I went to Tyler and Ashlyn's for lunch. We celebrated Tyler getting a job! They're really excited...but we'll miss them a lot here. Tonight, Josh, Kelsy and I drove up to LaGrange to hear Mr. Jimmy preach. He did a great job and we were all really encouraged by his lesson and by the congregation there. We started the "Samford Lawn Singing" up again. We had it tonight. It was the second one of the semester. We've had really awesome turnouts to our Singings and to the College Class. 50 and 60 + people have been showing up. Tonight we didn't have quite that many people, but we still had at least 35-40.
So, I've been working on this list below for a while now.
Mr. Tony did a lesson on 10 Verses to Live by a while back, and I decided then that I wanted to make my own, but it was really hard to narrow down 10 verses...in fact I have 5 more, but I chose these 10. Hope you enjoy my list...and I challenge all of you to try this too. It was really neat to do and very encouraging for me! :)
Erica’s 10 Verses To Live By:
John 16:33
"These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world."
Galatians 2:20
“I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.”
Matthew 6:31-34
"Do not worry then, saying, 'What will we eat?' or 'What will we drink?' or 'What will we wear for clothing?' For the Gentiles eagerly seek all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”
Psalm 73:26
“My flesh and my heart may fail,
But God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.”
Jeremiah 29:11
“For I know the plans that I have for you,' declares the LORD, 'plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope.”
Colossians 3:2
“Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth.”
Proverbs 4:23
“Watch over your heart with all diligence,
For from it flow the springs of life.”
Proverbs 3:5-7
“Trust in the LORD with all your heart
And do not lean on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He will make your paths straight.
Do not be wise in your own eyes;
Fear the LORD and turn away from evil.”
Isaiah 53:5
“But He was pierced through for our transgressions,
He was crushed for our iniquities;
The chastening for our well-being fell upon Him,
And by His scourging we are healed.”
Proverbs 31:30
“Charm is deceitful and beauty is vain,
But a woman who fears the LORD, she shall be praised.”
Well, that's my update. I'm tired and need sleep. I haven't been feelin that great the last few days. All stopped up and what not.
Anyway, have a great week!!!! :)
