Wonderful Grandkids!!
I had a great time in Louisville with my precious grandkids!!
Jackson is so handsome and it's fun to watch him take in his new world! I'm sorry he caught a cold already and we pray he will make it through this episode with no secondary effects. So far he has no fever, but his stuffy head and cough make him sound so pitiful. The drainage is making him spit up and one morning he did a job on my bedspread. I mop it up with a burp rag and Murphy finished up the cleanup! :) Later, I realized my back was cool and saw that it was covered too! He is so strong in his legs and when you change him it's a challenge to work with his legs drawn up like he will jump three feet high or stiff as a board where he rocks all over the changing table. Won't be long and those legs will be crawling him all over the house!!
Kaelyn is learning so many new things and she's learning many new words. When she busted her lip after falling, we gave her a popsicle. Her version of the word was something like "popsilolallollallollal". She can now say, "Mammaw" and "Pappaw" and "Ryan"!! Dora yogurt is a favorite of hers and when she found it in the grocery sack she was sooo excited!! Three times she expressed her excitement like it was the first time she saw it!! At church services on Sunday, her grandpa John was making announcements and she couldn't see him because her vision was blocked. Many in the auditorium heard her say, "Poppi!!" when she recognized his voice. Her grandma Frani is teaching her colors with M&M's so that a real treat, too! You know how Grandma's are so proud of their grandkids, so I could go on and on and on and on, but I'll stop for now!! :)
