If only half your new brothers-in-law didn't go into anaphylactic shock at the mere sight of a cat! I recommend consoling yourself with a nice big dog. : )

Hello all!

Summer has been great so far - I have traveled to IL twice and GA, hung out with my family, seen Phantom of the Opera, read, taken an American Revolution course online (to officially graduate), and searched for a job..until yesterday. I will be teaching for the Boys and Girls Club after-school program M-F from 2-6; it should be fun & crazy - I get to teach pretty much whatever I want, play outside, and help with homework. And today I got a job at JC Penny that will work perfectly with the teaching job. It's only a few days a week from 5:30am-11:30am scanning in new merchandise and putting it where it belongs in the store. ha, I may regret saying this in a few weeks..BUT I have sat around the house for long enough this summer, and am ready to start working and making some money!

Fortunately, for you, I have nothing more to elaborate on. Hope you're all having a relaxing and wonderful summer!

Some Happy thoughts:
-Aaron coming in a couple of weeks!!
-Rereading the Harry Potter books
-Now reading Pride and Prejudice (for the first time!)
-Being offered 2 jobs in 2 days
-Finally being done with school

Are these jobs just summer jobs, or will they continue into the foreseeable future? Congratulations, in any event. Job finding is quite an achievement these days.

Yessss! It's so frustrating and mind-numbing to be jobless, and so exciting to be job ... -ful. I am excited for you! And I shall be even more excited if you will be in the Houston area in 2 weeks, because I sure will be, and I'd love to see you!

Umm, I think around August 4-7. I don't know how much our family will be out and about, but if I can steal a car at some point, maybe we can meet up for lunch somewhere one day.

I just saw Wicked again, but would love to see Phantom of the Opera. Yay for re reading Harry Potter books. I re read the 6th and 7th before the 6th movie came out.

I'm so glad you got the jobs! I'm also glad I was nosey while listening to Heather tell Andrew about the B&G club job. :) I'm still trying to read Sense & Sensibility, but I can't find the time to. Pride & Prejudice took me a while too. see you soon!
