Prayers

Thank you for your prayers! Grandma was finally moved out of ICU today!! She's dying to see her great grand kids, so now they finally can. It will be a long recovery process, but she's a strong willed woman who will excel any limits they set in front of her. If you want her address, just let me know!!

They have mom on warfarin and a pill that is supposed to help her heart stay in rhythm, plus they are treating her high bp. She is also still on medicine that she was put on years ago for the Paroxysmal Atrial Tachycardia she was diagnosed with. The dr said people with PAT will usually develop the A-Fib problems. If Mom's heart stayed in it all the time, they'd be looking at other treatments.

The other pill (^^^^) is carvedilol.

Prayers

My grandma, Jean, had a stroke Saturday evening. She has paralysis on her left side. She so frustrated trying to move that side and not being able, too. Please keep her and my grandpa in your prayers.

Julie (McDaniel) Monts

My friend, Julie, after a long wait found out she was pregnant. Not one, not two, but three little babies!! Her and her husband live in Franklin, KY where he preaches at the congregation there. I want to help them in anyway I can. I can only imagine buying all the things needed for three little ones!! She is having 2 boys and 1 girl. She is 30 weeks along and hoping to make it to 32 weeks. She does not have much stuff past the newborn stage, and I am sure she can always you use all sizes of diapers. If you would like to help, that would be wonderful, but so would sending my email out to anyone who might know them or who would want to help them. If you have clothes that are too small for your kids, I know she would be grateful. Even if you want to just send a card of encouragement, let me know. Prayers are definitely appreciated! If you are interested in helping, let me or my mom know! Thank you so much!

Family time

The whole family is in town for a wonderful, white Christmas. It has been great being with everyone and seeing all the cousins playing together. Tonight we threw my grandpa a surprise 80th birthday party. His actual birthday is not until March, but we won't all be able to be there for it. He certainly was surprised and enjoyed it so much. We got out old photos of his childhood- it was neat to hear him talk about when he was younger. We will be quite spoiled with another family gathering in May for my graduation. Here are just a small sample of some of the pictures I took. Hope you all had happy holidays! I know I am going to enjoy my month off school- and than just a few months left!!

Fall

PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket
Can't believe Halloween is over! It was a HUGE success this year! Logan will be four on Monday. I don't know where the time has gone. It just seems like yesterday that we were being induced one month early with him. He's been just about as easy as his delivery. No pushes and his daddy pretty much caught him because my OB wasn't there, just the resident. I have four weeks left of my third semester. I graduate May 14th. I am SO excited!! I am excited to have a new brother-in-law in June, too. We have a lot of exciting things coming up. Cade is doing good. He got over his flu and pneumonia, and is eagerly awaiting his Missouri hunting trip with grandma and grandpa. This school year has been fantastic for him. What a difference a great teacher can make! She actually goes to a liberal Church of Christ- so it's nice to have someone with somewhat of a moral compass. She understands where Cade is coming from on certain issues. She is positive and so upbeat- it makes me want to be in her class. He actually loves school and has never had a bad day yet. I am in my pediatric rotation, and Med Surg (oncology) right now. It's going by fast and I feel more and more like a nurse each time. Hope all is well abd enjoy the BEAUTIFUL fall weather!
