So Amber and I just found out what the baby is going to be: a girl. Yes, another girl. We're excited. We've decided on the name Sophie Reagan.
Our house in Lee County is progressing. The roof is finally done and we're not far from being done with the siding work. Then we'll be on to the inside. It is so exciting to build your own house, and this warm weather lately has made me even more anxious about moving in.
That's about all for now. It's lunchtime anyways!
It's been a really long time since I updated my Pleo-blog, so here goes...
The work here in Mt Sterling is going well. We had our fall meeting with Gardner Hall and it was a good one. I'm not used to having a lot of visitors at a gospel meeting, but we had over 20 on two nights of the meeting. Apart from that, not much is new with the work.
Amber is pregnant...again. Yes, this will be number four. We're very excited. She's due next June, I believe. We're hoping for a boy so that Jason will have a play-mate, but we will be happy either way, of course. Our prayer is for a healthy baby. Amber's sister is due soon with a baby, and our sister-in-law, Tonya, is having twins sometime next Feb-March. So we're going from three kids in the family to seven in a year's-time. Wow.
Our house in NC finally sold! The closing was yesterday.
I bought a truck. Yep, it's a hoss of a truck...a 1998 Dodge 2500, ext cab, four-wheel drive. It's a bigger truck than what I need, but I got a really good deal on it.
I'm going to go for now.
It's raining on Labor Day. We need the rain, but I wish it would rain tomorrow instead.
We're grilling out this evening. I'm going to make some pulled pork and grill some steak. I think Amber's family is coming over, and we've also invited some friends from eastern Kentucky over. I'm looking forward to it.
For those who may be interested, I've posted a 67 page study/commentary on Proverbs on the church's website. It's actually a topical examination of Proverbs, rather than a verse-by-verse study. The link is www.oakhillchurchofchrist.com. Then click on the "study material" link and it will be the top file.
Well, have a good Labor Day.
Amber and I are leaving tomorrow morning for Bardstown, KY to celebrate five blissful years of marriage. Needless to say, we're both very excited. We're going to drop the kids off at Amber's parents' house in the morning, and for the first time since Jenna was born, spend a day and a half or so without kids. Wow. I will say this, I am so very blessed to have Amber. She is a wonderful person and over the years we've grown so close. I know what she's thinking and she knows what I'm thinking. We laugh at the same things. It's great. And I know that it will only get better as time passes. Plus, we've got three great kids and hopefully more will come in the future.
Don't forget to check out my blog. I'm adding, on average, two new articles every day.
